Mint is shutting down on March 23rd! This Chrome Extension lets you export all of your transactions and account balance history in just two taps. This would take *hundreds* of clicks in the Mint.com interface if you have a significant amount of history.

Hey everyone, I'm Jon, co-founder & Head of Design at Monarch Money. We built this chrome extension to help Mint.com users export all of their data before Mint shuts down on March 23rd, 2024. When we heard the news that Mint was shutting down, we noticed two problems with exporting data from Mint: 1) In order to download daily balances for your accounts through Mint.com, you have to filter to each individual month you have data, for each account, and download the CSV, then stitch all of the CSV files together with a tool like Excel. If you have 5 accounts with 5 years of history, that means you'd end up with 300 individual CSV files you'd be combining. This chrome extension does all of that with 1 click. 2) There's a silent cap of 10,000 transactions when you export to CSV from Mint.com directly, but the flow doesn't warn you about that, so people with more history were downloading truncated CSV files without knowing it. This chrome extension works around the export limit, it will grab all of your transactions with 1 click. Import your data to Monarch, or wherever else you want We would love to have you transition to Monarch (of course), but this chrome extension doesn't force you to use Monarch, it simply uses the Mint.com API to export all of your transactions and account balance history to CSV files on your computer. You can then upload those files wherever you like. If you decide to try Monarch, use the promo code MINT50 to get an extended 30-day free trial, plus 50% off your first year. Get the chrome extension here: https://chromewebstore.google.co... It's also open source! You can view the code and contribute here: https://github.com/monarchmoney/... P.S. Thank you @chrismessina for the hunt!

@jmsuth so hard to believe that Mint is going away. What a timely service to offer Mint refugees!

Well done! I am in the tech industry and know how difficult it is to get these products out the door. To get it done in time for the mint migration is fantastic! I used it to move my 10 years of data over from mint. Good work devs!

Great tool....but one question! Will this tool work now that Mint has been integrated into Credit Karma?

Makes migrating to other tools easy. A daily balance exporter is super unique as Mint doesn't give you that option. And Monarch as an app has been a joy. I thought Mint was great but I know realize how much better it should have been.

Thanks for making the move less painless and for creating a far superior product to Mint, enjoying all the reporting capabilities πŸ™

Former Mint user here. Moving from Mint took under an hour to recategorize or choose which categories to keep in Monarch.

This was a timely and well-designed tool for users who suddenly found their years with Mint coming to an end. I used Mint for about 12 years and this extension was the easiest way to grab all of the data that I needed for my personal records and for importing to my Monarch account. I also want to applaud the team on making the extension open source and being highly responsive to code contributions from myself and others. GitHub provided a convenient place not only for bug reports but also to notify those affected when the bugs were fixed. I hope that Monarch can offer more open source projects like this in the future!
Thanks @jmsuth and Team Monarch for giving away the export for free, and making it open source. I'm not a Mint user but I'm supporting your launch, as I'm sure it will help Mint users massively.
