Hi PH! I first launched my site MicroFounder here on Product Hunt a year ago and today, 200 startups in our little community have just reached collectively $1.7 million per month! 🥳🎉 It continues to be not only possible for a solo developer to build a profitable microstartup to pay the bills and live life on their own terms, but it's getting increasingly more simple with all the tools and helpful communities around us. 🎒 Design work around your life ========================= The main goal for most microfounders is to live a flexible life: 🥰 work on things that are exciting to you in this time of your life 🗓 plan your days and weeks however you want ✈️ take a week off and fly to Lisbon 💻 No coding skills needed anymore ============================= While I started the community for software engineers to build their products, I have learned that knowing how to code is not needed anymore – anyone can build a side project these days and earn money to live, whether it be through no-code tools or just producing content, like paid newsletters. 🔐 Side projects give you security =========================== With more and more uncertainty & layoffs happening in the job market, what a freedom it is to have a small product that pays your bills and gives you the freedom to spend your days and years how you want. 🥳 Introducing MicroFounder 2.0 ========================== I think reaching collectively $1.7 million per month is a great time to launch MicroFounder 2.0 and let you know what I've built into it: 💾 Startup database with filters (revenue, type, ...) 🙋 Q&A with successful solo founders (idea? first customers? advice?) 🙋 Community & discussions (super helpful to have other people on the same journey to support you) It's possible for a̶ ̶s̶o̶l̶o̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶e̶l̶o̶p̶e̶r̶ anyone to build a profitable microstartup to pay the bills and live life on their own terms!

Congratulations on the launch of MicroFounder! It's not easy for solo developers to build a profitable microstartup, but MicroFounder's tools and support make it possible. The focus on solo developers is unique, and I believe there's a lot of potential here. Keep up the good work!

My honest feedback :) : I really like it, althought there is no free version, things are limited too quickly in my opinion. I'm considering paying, but I don't know how consistent are the updates (I see some makers I know on Twitter that are making more than what's displayed) Can't access the discussions and see what the section is about Same for the rest of the content, the Q&As and stuff, it doesn't seem right to pay for something that may not be updated, how often is it ? Why not make it an UGC platform, where people can update their metrics (like https://indiepa.ge/), and create content regularly (like https://www.indiehackers.com/), or just like PH, but yea for solo-founders I think there is real potential for it to be a living / real-time platform, with regular events (i would pay a monthly fee if there was a weekly/monthly call with successful founders), monetize with ads and stuff
