Metro Retro is a free web app that helps teams run productive, engaging and fun retrospectives. It uses real-time updates, adaptable templates and a quirky sense of humor to riff on the classic paper based retrospective but taking advantage of modern tech!

This is about the best tool I've used so far.. even mailed the maker what we could do to keep it up and running because it supports a lot of the work I do. As a company we would gladly pay some subscription for it.

Hi everyone! After nearly 1.5 years of spare time and part time work, I'm proud to present to you Metro Retro! A free to use web application for running Agile retrospective sessions with your team. It's great for teams that are distributed as well as for teams that are co-located. Retrospectives are a great way for a team to have a relaxed and open look at their performance and discuss results as a group. Metro Retro was built to quick, adaptable and most of all fun to use so that it can be suitable for any kind of team or retrospective activity. Happy to answer any questions! Thanks Stephen

Probably the most fun I've had in a retro. Except for the time we retro'd our sprint through interpretive dance. Pros: - Fast - Our large-ish scrum team can collaborate without any lag or problems - Feels like a video game - Varied amount of templates, helps keep the team engaged week on week (which can be a big problem with retros!) Cons: - Board styles are largely based around retros and collaborative sessions, though there are a few product templates in there. It's a little more difficult to create artefacts like storyboards and customer journeys - Not setup for long-form writing

Metro Retro allows my team to collaborate effectively from anywhere with internet connectivity - the ability to export all the comments saves us writing meeting minutes while using the reactions and confetti makes boring retrospectives more engaging and enjoyable! I'm a huge advocate of this product and would urge anyone who works in a team to try it out...Thanks team Metro Retro, would give a higher rating than 5 if I could!!

This Tool is great! Thank you for sharing it. I'm impressed by the YouTube Product Presentation, you managed to got me watch it whole (don't know when that happened the last time 😉)!

Really nice tool, simple to use with funny features. I like the way we can group ideas with a boarder adjusting automatically, it is fun to see others moving around the board, use of emoticons is great, vote phase easy, highlight of one participant sticky notes, an on/off arrow to show the topic we are discussing... very smart yet simple. Bravo !

I must had some cons : the zoom out shortcut does not work for me (but the zoom in works ) and the limit to 140 char is too short to write a proper user story so I cannot use the Product Backlog template.

I am using the tool for the past year and it's amazing! the ability of it to connect teams over contonants and regions helped us so much especially since we are WFH now. The only thing we are missing is the ability to actually save our templates for reuse, we have designed some templates fitting for our workshops and needs and we need some more fire power to share them with others :-)
