With the release of Llama 3.1 405B, TogetherCompute built LlamaCoder — an open source web app that can generate an entire app from a prompt. The repo has now been cloned by hundreds of devs on GitHub and starred 2K+ times.
I prompted: Build me a login page using nextjs and MUI. The first line of code is:
"I'll be using Tailwind instead of MUI as per your original instructions."
Can't imagine the technology uglier than TW...
It's clear a lot of work went into this product, so great job on that front, but it consistently gave me incomplete code. The UI for the code that it did give me didn't look very appealing, and was broken in some areas. I appreciate the effort that went into it, but it needs work.
Couple of weeks ago someone launched bentycoder its basically the same thing. And he said that he is trying to get sponsored by meta. I think he did it.
I’m really intrigued by the LlamaTutor example. Has anyone used it for learning purposes? It sounds like a great way to explore new ways to educate with AI.
