looks great, but what if FB tomorrow comes with a similar feature to take over intercom ... ? 😳
Gijo Varghese
@otymix hmmm. That's an interesting question :/
Regan Black
@otymix I see Facebook doing just that. This will put a lot of companies out of business. The worst will be if they don't require website visitors to be logged into their FB account in order start conversations.
Benjamin Sehl
@otymix there's a term for that, it's called getting Sherlocked … (https://www.economist.com/blogs/...)
Jovis Joseph Aloor
@regan @otymix Fingers crossed🤞... Let's hope Facebook doesn't take this up and spin off to a standalone product.
Sam Rye
@regan @otymix @jovisjoseph or they just buy your team & technology?

Looks sweet!
Gijo Varghese
@jon_tavarez Thanks. Let me know if you have any other feedbacks or suggestions :)

a much more polished version of https://www.producthunt.com/post... we made a while back. congrats on the launch.
Gijo Varghese
@saijogeorge it's a great post. Thanks for your feedback

Would've been great if the chat window looked like FB messenger or in that theme. Not sure if there are legal issues here but from an end user perspective, unless I specifically mention it, it doesn't look like FB messenger. Slick tool though. What about privacy? Didn't see any docs on it. Good job!
Gijo Varghese
@manikarthik Thanks a lot for your feedback. We'll try our best to improve
Adam Davies
@manikarthik Personally I think it's a good thing that it doesn't look like Facebook messenger (Any possible legal problems aside). Makes it it's own product and if it did look like Facebook messenger I think it would cause confusion for some users and maybe look spammy.
Jovis Joseph Aloor
@manikarthik @adammydesign the whole idea was to give a simple but practical alternative to intercom... just like @manikarthik said if it looked just like facebook it might look a bit spammy and then the customization options also gets limited.. So we designed the chat head from ground up so that it looks just like any other chat interfaces like intercom or drift with full freedom customize colors

Jhon Snow, John Snow or Jon Snow 😉 Great product btw 👍 I have few suggestions - Make widget mobile friendly. - Handle people who are not logged into messenger with a proper message. - Find a work around for visitors who are not on facebook.
Jovis Joseph Aloor
@shyjal thank you for your feedback...We are working on them...And about john snow...That's my mistake ..I wasn't sure about the correct spelling .. sorry to all GOT FANS out there..

Messenger embed from Facebook works good enough, not sure I see a large enough benefit. Thank you though for another option.

Great work guys! It's very awesome on desktop and seems to be very powerfull to attract+loop leads through FB. And as a feedback, i'm a bit worry that on mobile web-browser, the "connexion" step to log in FB is deal breaker for leads engagement and discussion start (despite product as crisp or others... i'm not an expert). Hope i'm clear enought. Ping me if not :) Keep on guys!

@alexazria Thanks a lot for your feedback

Gijo Varghese
@theptap yes! You can integrate any bots

That's cool, but it would be even more cool if Facebook was opening Messenger to anonymous users. Good job makers!
Jovis Joseph Aloor
@akdm_ glad you liked it... But i couldn't get exactly what you are referring to...
Anthony Da Mota
@jovisjoseph Users must have a Messenger account to use Messenger, right? While it makes sense for many cases, for use cases like Messengerify this is not the perfect thing. I see Messengerify as a free replacement of Intercom; Crisp; Drift… for low budget companies/startups. So, if Facebook allowed anonymous users to actually use Messenger, it would be awesome. See?
abasa aka pfazer
great job on this.

This is awesome. I love it. ★★★★★

Hi guys! So I gave it a try, www.unthink.me - its on the right bottom corner, but our logo link is broken. I liked the idea enough to pay the $20something bucks for it, but there are some issues that we're really mentioned such as not linking to the app on mobile devices (from my experience, most people aren't logged in to facebook on their phone browsers and will not login on the browser when requested) this is a huge hurdle issue) Also, traditionally when you have opted to pay for the service or tool, the branding goes away, I'm not too stoked about having the brand on the plugin once its paid for and its live on a site. could we address any of those please?
Gijo Varghese
@humberto_valle Have you deleted the image right after uploading? Looks like the image is missing from our database. Can you pls send it us again? We'll fix that. Regards branding, right now it will there in the paid version too. We're planning to remove it for a higher price. We'll update it soon
Humberto Valle
@gijo_varghese yes, I paid the $29, so you're planning on charging more just to remove the branding? what email do I send the image too? Since the platform doesn't create profiles I couldn't go back in and check the code generated... I'm not sure why the image was removed though...
Gijo Varghese
@humberto_valle you can send it to us through Messenger: https://m.me/messengerify/ or email us on contact@messengerify.me

I like the fact that through the FB messenger, you take the conversation on-site and off-site. FB messenger feels more personal as well so it's great to build trust that way. Something I noticed tough is that when I have adblocker enabled, I won't see the message box within the chat widget. Many people have such adblockers enabled and might thus not be able to communicate on-site. Other than that, great initiative and a potential rival for Intercom if further developed.
Gijo Varghese
@fouad_tolaib Thanks a lot for your feedback. Regarding the Message box, it's a bug from Facebook. It started appearing a few days back. We've reported it to them and we're also trying alternative ways to overcome it
Paul de Fombelle
@fouad_tolaib It's cool to be able to continue the conversation off-site, but from what I've seen you can't actually take the conversation on-site. You need to open Messenger after the first message. Or did I miss something?
Fouad
@paulodef its actually supposed to let you chat right on the site. In my case, when I disabled ad locker for the site, I was able to chat there without opening messenger. According to the makers, its a bug on FBs end.
Vik Chaudhary
@fouad_tolaib Agree, I like it and will try it out on a Facebook page. Be great to get your feedback on https://www.producthunt.com/post... -- a free website chat for Slack users.

Looks great. I have a question. When took a test drive I saw you have integrated it with a bot? Your bot is pretty decent and works great. What bot are you using and how easy is it integrate this? But I do see a downside to using this, If my user is going to click this and go away to messenger.com I'm losing a potential lead signup on my landing page?
Gijo Varghese
@basicgravity we integrated bot using Chatfuel. It's very easy

yes
