Awesome work Isaac! It's been great watching this project evolve!

@kevjochelson Thanks for the support Kevin, there's plenty yet to come

Looks good. Congrats. One suggestion - the illustration on the homepage adds nothing to the product. I wondered what was eating what? But then again maybe I am not the target market.

@ebrahimkhalil Ahhh yes, that was meant to be a placeholder while I fine-tuned the product... and then it got lost at the bottom of a long list of to-dos. It is a silly joke that probably doesn't convert well. I'll look into it. Thank you for the reminder!!

I don't use Chrome but I already love this. This has the potential to be game changer for cognitive overload and it's just deepening the reading XP on web. Great job!

@hibaganta thanks for the vote of confidence Hiba. "Cognitive overload" is definitely a term that's missing in my marketing material so I'm stealing it. Just out of curiosity which browser do you use?

Hi Product Hunters, This is a project that I've sat on for a while. Initially inspired by an idea I heard on the MFM podcast... but slowly turned into something slightly different that I actually use daily. Chrome is great, but it has a fatal flaw, something we've all experienced, and I'd like to call tab overdose. I know of people who have upgraded their MacBooks over Chrome's RAM usage... don't do that. Mentionitis saves your rabbit hole "Open in new tab" links in your browser without you actually opening them. Whether you'll actually visit them later, I'll leave it up to you. Reading an article, find a name that pops up a lot, and think to yourself "who's this Jason Calacanis guy?" With Mentionitis you'd just highlight his name, right-click and "Search Mentionitis for 'Jason Calacanis'" boom, simple. It works for relatively famous people's names, companies, Twitter links, and a couple of other easter eggs I'll let you discover for yourself. All WITHOUT opening a new tab. Searches aren't powered by the big G so you won't get tracked by ads for any of your Mentionitis searches. Fortunately for you, this is v1... and I'm actively looking to either improve or add more searchable entities. Your feedback and use cases will most likely be developed into the extension, just drop me an email (if you're an active user) and I will plug it in for you. I can't give it away for free right now because I'm a bit behind on my rent (Indie dev issues) but there is a promo code PHLAUNCH for $1 off all packages... forever (you do the math). Thanks in advance for your support. Much love! Isaac
