@eivindhaa That was my reality as well! We are currently developing a feature that will allow you to import your Google Chrome bookmarks. Hopefully Memento helps you automatically organize them!
Love this and look forward to checking out Memento! Right now, to remember my Internet experience, I cobble together something sort of similar:
1. Bookmark links I want to save with reading.am
2. Export everything as a CSV.
3. Scrape the content from each link and try to separate commerce-related links from content-related links.
4. Use code libraries to grab general sentiment, cluster by topic, etc.
5. Overlay data from Apple Health.
6. Try to get insights like, "Wow. I was really into NFTs in February 2021." Or, "Oh gosh, when the shelter in place order started I stopped working out and started consuming a ton of negative content."
Memento feels like a more refined and beautiful version of this. Really excited to see how it works!
@laurenproctor32 At its core, Memento is similar to what you described! Memento scrapes raw HTML contents of a URL and even analyzes images to categorize and tag them. These URLs can be categorized by date or by topic. Planning on adding more finite categorizations in the future!
Hey there, interesting idea! How I do this process at the moment is that for the links that are especially noteworthy I put them into to-do like lists. So compared to this 'process' of mine, basically Memento would also categorize the link using ML, right? That would be the addition, or?
@dr_dani If you paste your noteworthy URLs into Memento, it'll automatically categorize and tag them. It currently doesn't support importing a long list of URLs from a file, but that is potentially something to add in the future!
In a world with overflowing amount of information, I wanted a service that would help me remember important articles, videos, and images as I explored the web. Not only that, I didn't want to worry about categorizing, tagging, and organizing that information myself. And that is why I built Memento!
@chrismessina Unfortunately, Memento currently doesn't integrate with third-party applications, but will definitely let you know if it does in the future!
@andres_kim Amazing product you have here, alot of potencial. Using it, Loving it, one quick thing, on the chrome extension, auto complete for previous saved categories, its a pain, when the cat is wrong, u have to go to the page, and copy paste previously used categories. Keep up the good work dude!
Amazing idea congrats! It would be a dream come true to incorporate your app's functionality with @yizy , our newly developed and launched bookmarking solution for designers😍
Interesting and can't wait to try this out! especially with the number of tabs I'm sure most of us have open right now - definitely something to consider.
This app (especially the chrome extension) is a gamechanger! Helps me organize my various links, inspirations, and shopping wishlists all in one place :) Beautiful UI as well!
