Many people don't get Medium, but it seems pretty clear where they're heading. This podcast with @karaswisher and @ev is the best overview of the platform and where it's heading.

Very cool. I like the ability to customize the look. Not sure how successful the revenue models will be. Of the 2, I am most excited about subscribing to different publications.

Super cool update, but I'd like to know if it's possible to remove Medium's header from a publication. Is it? I'm aware that you probably won't allow it, but it doesn't hurt to ask :) By the way, I'd be willing to pay to have it removed. I'd imagine that publishers from all sizes would, too. I work for a big newspaper and dealing with CMSs is normally a pain in the neck. I wonder if it would be even possible to have a whole newspaper website built entirely on Medium CMS (as is the case with WordPress). Great job anyways. I'm a big fan of Medium.

This looks awesome! Great ideas for the Revenue beta too. The big question with Medium has always been whether to build on their platform exclusively, or stick with your own blog and syndicate to It, and this is a big step for them to encourage exclusivity.

I always felt Medium was inspired to be Indie but quality post. I wonder if getting established media coming in will put off the original crowd. What are your thoughts?

This is great ! really great!! I had a feeling how medium works. Now it's clear, their intentions for improving blogging and it's quality is a great step. This will really make the authors think about writing with quality and perception. Always appreciate !! Really awesome ! A big play ahead!

Finally Medium comes back to the mainstream content advertising revenue model. In any case it has to survive with some good source of revenues. Now it all depends up on how they implement it, keeping the quality of the posts intact.

I had that idea too for Medium I was going to write a post suggesting it but I never got to doing it. It's good to hear that Medium was already working on it.
