Ash Oliver here. I’m a UX designer and the host of Maze’s brand-new podcast.
When you use a product, you only experience the shipped version of it. What you don't see are the numerous iterations and countless decisions that led to this "final" result (we all know software is never really finished 🙃).
We think there's something truly insightful about exploring the myriad of decisions that led to delivering this end-result. What constraints and questions did the team face? What challenges and tradeoffs were involved? And how did the decisions in these moments drive success?

The Optimal Path is a new podcast, created by and for people working in product today. Each episode brings in a new guest—designer, product manager, UX researcher, or subject-matter expert—and explores the ideas, frameworks, and approaches they use to inform product decision-making.
