🎬 What are Clips?
Clips are the easiest way to capture video and screen recordings of your participant’s usability tasks without running live, moderated research sessions.
💪 How do I use Clips?
It’s simple—in your maze, you can add Clips to Mission Blocks to allow individual user sessions to record. Clips will create small, digestible chunks of audio and visual context to help you get the full picture of how testers navigate through your product. Deepening insights that help you make fast, educated decisions—at scale.
We hope Clips will bring more human context to usability testing and fill the gaps of our understanding for users. All without losing speed and the ability to scale. A little background on the feature 💭
Product teams rely on contextual feedback that's collected when conducting moderated research. Where the library of opinions, expressions, and thoughts brings context to strategic decisions as well as quick wins. With this in mind, we believe the valuable interactions happening during a remote test shouldn’t be lost simply because a user session happens async.
So we posed the question, is there a way to bring rich, human context that’s digestible to unmoderated research?
That’s why we’ve created a new way to capture the insights where understanding is essential.
Our amazing team has pooled together to bring you Clips; small, digestible clips of audio and visual context of user sessions that will help you get the full picture of how testers navigate through your product. Deepening insights that help you make fast, educated decisions—at scale.

Sure thing! Fullstory records user sessions on live websites only, and actually only provides screen recordings.
Clips enables your product team to record audio, video, and screen recordings of your user's sessions on your prototypes. This helps bring data/insights into your validation phase of design and test iterations before you push them live! We integrate with major design tools Figma, AdobeXD, InVision, Sketch, & Marvel, to easily test your prototypes.
This version of Clips is just the beginning and we're already looking into new functionality we can introduce. What would be highest priority for you?
