Hello, Product Hunt community! First off, thank you I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone here. This vibrant community has been a beacon of inspiration for us, driving us to push forward every day. Watching the incredible products launched here has been nothing short of motivating knowing there are other teams out there putting as much time and effort like us building products. The journey My journey began several years ago, out of frustration with the complexity of tools at my work. I found myself spending more time trying to learn these tools than actually doing work - it was slowing me down. It made me wonder, when did work life become so complicated? I yearned for the simplicity of my childhood games like Super Mario Bros, where the objectives were clear and the path to achieving them was straightforward. This longing for simplicity led me to start designing and building Matilda for myself, aiming to strip away the complexities of modern work tools. The process To build simple took us a lot more work than complex. Our goal of simplicity wasn’t just a visual style, minimalism or the absence of clutter. To keep the power and flexibility we all need in today’s workday truly involved coming up with elegant solutions. We kept going back to the beginning, again and again. The result - A workspace where every tool is intuitively connected. ✅ No training manual required ✅ Bring all your essential tools into one unified space ✅ Allows you and your team to move fast ✅ Streamlines your workflows ✅ Allows you to stay in the flow ✅ No app switching ✅ Everything you need to get the job done is right where you're already working ✅ Boost collaboration in one intuitive space ✅ Most of all allows you to enjoy your day more The future We’re truly passionate about building a product we love to use everyday and with that hopefully you will too. We’re not there yet, but this is just a preview to show off what direction we are trying to take to hopefully start to build with a community. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share Matilda with this amazing community. We’re excited to hear your thoughts, feedback, and stories of how it might simplify your work life. We’re here for the next 24hours answering questions or if you want to connect email me ash@matilda.io Thanks Ash P.s If you spot any bugs or have any improvement ideas open the feedback tool inside Matilda.

@wowwowlubov Thanks Lyubov, thats a great question. Imagine the current scenario many entrepreneurs & companies face: You decide to start a company, and suddenly, you're in the whirlwind of needing multiple tools. You search for a project/task app, then documentation storage, followed by a platform for team chat, one for sales, one for customer service, video calling and so on. You've spent several weeks just searching and setting up these tools. Next, you find yourself in need of a data specialist to implement a tool like Segment or RudderStack to connect all the data these apps are generating. It's a fragmented, time-consuming mess that can take months to streamline. and now think of all the criss-cross workflows you have. I used to work as a Business Analyst for enterprise and I can tell you on average with 250+ saas apps its a mess. This scenario is also one I encounter frequently when people ask me what tools they should use. And I have always just want to say hey... "Just use this one app." rather than you need this for that or that for this. Our product fundamentally simplifies this entire process by integrating essential business functionalities into a single platform. The vision is to enable you to run a company with just one login. I can't think of any other company that makes it this simple to consolidate the core aspects of running a business into one seamless experience.

I am loving the clean and playful UI style. A small UI "annoyance" on your onboarding screens if you hit the X; for example, if you don't put in a "Workspace Name", it just sends you to the landing page. This seems a bit strange, and it should probably give an error instead. And the other thing, this is more of a personal preference, but you seem to use a myriad of different roundings in various elements that don't always match well. Regards, very cool product; congrats on the lunch!
Ash Bettridge
@dan16 Thanks Daniel, this is the feedback we need. We're fixing this 'x' issue now pushing live. Also let me double check my figma file for those roundings - 100% needs to be consistent 👀
Laura Riehl
@dan16 Thanks so much for your feedback, this is very valuable and support helpful! Anything else, shoot it through - we love honesty.

Aman Wen
The design here is incredibly sleek — it's clear a lot of thought went into the UX. We're in the process of refining ours too. Did you employ any specific frameworks or philosophies to guide your design decisions?
Laura Riehl
@aman_wen Thank you for the compliment on our design. Yes, we focused on user-centered design principles, emphasizing simplicity, clarity, and consistency across the platform. We have a design library set up that we follow very strictly. We also leaned heavily on iterative design, constantly seeking feedback from early users through usability testing (around 5 tests per week) to refine and adapt our UX. This approach helped us make decisions that we believed would best serve our users' needs and increase their overall experience.
Ash Bettridge
@aman_wen Thanks Aman, its actually not the first design - we have gone through several iterations based on how we feel as we use it and user feedback. We're using tailwind as a base. To keep things simple I always start with designing mobile first because its lot harder to fit everything on a small screen... keeps the UX simple.
Trent Kennelly
Some of my favorite products bring various things that we use every day under one umbrella. It can be complex, but it's ultimately so much easier for the end user! Excellent job here 👏👏👏
Ash Bettridge
@trent_kennelly Thanks Trent! Agreed, we're trying to iron out a smooth user experience for all these tools so end users dont have to...
Marvin Mändle
Really like this concept. Congrats to your launch and the result! I know from our product that integration is the future because employees have to handle too many tools. Pretty sure that Matilda is a great way so simplify work!
Ted Schaefer
@marvin_maendle Agreed, this is very interesting. Tight integration of suites of tools used to be standard, but workflows are fragmented for the most part today. Good luck with the launch @ash_bettridge and team!
