Today we want to share a product that is a bit different from what we are used to here, but hoping it'll be interesting to many of you who find it hard to look for information in very highly advanced and technical fields. Materials. Business is the first of a series of Technical Newsletters we, at Scalista, are going to be releasing during the next several months. All of them for free and with just one goal:
Bring Highly technical communities around the world together to stay updated and collaborate on the latest topics. Each newsletter will be edited by one Word-Renowned specialist in each field with occasional Guest Editorials.
The first one, which we are sharing with you today is about Material Protection and Corrosion in partnership with Ph.D. Carlos Arroyave, an academic, scientist and, researcher with over 40 years of experience in the areas of science, technology and innovation. He has worked with The World Bank and occupied important positions as VP for Science Innovation and Development at Universidad Antonio Nariño, Deputy Director of Programs of Innovation and Business Development at the Innovation Department for the government of Colombia, Colciencias, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Antioquia, President Of the International Corrosion Council (ICC), President of the Ibero-American Association of Corrosion and Protection, among others.
This space is designed as the meeting point for all the colleagues being part of your global community of managers and responsible people in charge of the management and decision in relation to materials and equipment integrity (planners, designers, plant managers and engineers, laboratory managers, QA&QC managers, researchers, contractors, and other specialists concerned with caring equipment and materials). From the design and selection to the disposal, after as long as possible life in service, according to the principles of Circular Economy and the expectations in front of a new economy for a more sustainable world.
