Hey Product Hunt!
Dawson here (co-founder of Martin). We’ve been building a personal AI agent and working towards the dream of real-life Jarvis for about a year now.
You can use Martin on Web and iOS. You can also shoot him a text over SMS, WhatsApp, or email.
Capabilities;
- Read, draft, and send emails
- Read and write to your calendar
- Text others back and forth on your behalf
- Make phone calls
- Ping Slack
- Track your to-do list
- Set reminders and text/email you later
- Search the web
- Prepare daily briefings for you
- Talk with you through voice in the app
- Do multi-step tasks (e.g. “brief me and the team” - checks calendar, reads new emails, pings slack)
Coming soon:
- Run background tasks (e.g. “5 minutes before every meeting, email me their LinkedIn profile”)
Excited to see you give Martin a try and let us know what tasks he should do next (or do better)!
@darweenist Wow, Martin sounds incredible! I’ve always had a soft spot for the idea of a Jarvis-like assistant, so it’s really exciting to see a product like this come to life. Congrats!👏
@tonyabracadabra Thanks for the comment Tony! Yeah, trust has always been top of mind for us.
A couple things we do right now:
- Before Martin sends and email, text, or Slack message for you, he shows you the message and asks for confirmation in the website/app.
- When Martin texts others on your behalf from his number, he keeps a log of his interactions in the app so you can monitor them in real time.
Going forward, we’re definitely thinking about a new and improved onboarding flow, and ways to give Martin feedback over time, which should build more trust!
I’d love to hear all your thoughts once you give it a try Tony! I’m reachable at dawson@trymartin.com.
Always wanted to be like Tony Stark with the projected screens & Jarvis to help me out...I guess I now can be like that - IOS integration is pretty huge I have to say - How long has the process been to build Martin?
Hey all!
Ethan here (other co-founder of Martin).
Super excited to be on board and building towards the dream of a real-life Jarvis with @darweenist !
Our vision is to have a single interface/agent that aggregates all of your information and context and executes upon that context, proactively taking care of trivial, repetitive tasks, making sure important things aren't forgotten, and streamlining your work so that you can be maximally productive.
Hopefully you enjoy this v1 and eager to hear what we can improve moving forward!
You had me at Jarvis! I'm really excited to test this out. Also - is an Android app on the roadmap? Regardless, congrats on the great launch @darweenist and team!
@darweenist Thanks for the update on the Android app - great to hear!
Also, if you have a minute today, check out our launch of CharmIQ. I think you might find it interesting!
Love this! Going to give it a try. This is exactly what I've been looking for.
I hope it can also work with/like Siri. Like "Hey Martin"
Another feature I would love is recording my meetings or sync with my Notion. I could then ask Martin anything. It'd be perfect. Butler with a brain
@sohilk Awesome, thanks Sohil! Totally hear you. Notion, Zoom, and Google Meets integrations are on the way. And yes, it's a bit hard but getting closer to the OS would be a huge buff - will work on it.
Love this product idea but $35 / month is steep (hit the challenge immediately when asked it to check my email). Am I being a cheap-ass here? IDK, I subscribe to a lot of AI stuff and this still feels over the top. I would have gone for $9.99 no problem.
@jboutelle Hey Jonathan, totally get it. We definitely want to make sure we prove Martin's worth before charging you $35/month, so currently we have a 7 day free trial for both the mobile and web app.
I'm also curious what other AI tools you are subscribed to. Feel free to shoot me an email at dawson@trymartin.com.
Awesome launch! Can Martin help with specific accounting workflows: Forward all invoices to the accountants, look through Photos for receipts etc and forward to accountants.
Looking forward to trying this out!
@0x_s13i Hey Samuel, we don't have Photos app integrated just yet, but this use case is definitely on the roadmap. Shoot me an email if you ever have specific workflow requests: dawson@trymartin.com
Congrats on an awesome feature set for your launch, Dawson!
My question would be regarding data privacy: if I integrate Martin with my startup, how is the data stored and how secure is it?
Will definitely try it out! 👏👏
@oscarxingluo Thanks Oscar! We're CASA Tier 2 compliant, which is the bar Google sets for any apps that integrate with their apps at a deep level.
Excited to hear your feedback once you try it!
I have been using Martin for a while now, and I can confidently say that it is the best AI assistant on the market. With Martin, you can consider your tasks done, whether it's scheduling, emailing, or more. Martin simplifies complex tasks and saves you time. Try Martin and see for yourself!
I gave it a go a few months ago and was amazed at how it worked, honestly its incredible how much Martin has improved on this short time! keep at it @darweenist !!
Congrats on the launch, @garrytan@darweenist@ethan_hou2.
This sounds super helpful for daily productivity.
Are you planning to expand app's abilities to work with social platforms like scheduling LinkedIn posts or replying on X?
I have been trying to stich together my own version of this by using ChatGPT plus and Zappier. But, having an app like this will save a lot of time. Do you plan to launch a Chrome version? During working hours, I'd prefer to have this assistant available on my laptop (instead of going to iPhone to do the work).
Awesome! It feels like Martin is making progress by the hour 😅
The team is definitely heading in the right direction. I’m sure there are many more cool features ahead. Congrats, guys!
A few words about privacy? Martin wants access to his gmail account and unfortunately I can't find anything on the site about what happens to the data....
@nicolas_barale Great question Nicolas! We're working around the clock to add more supported apps - usually we launch new apps every month (or week, when we're focused on new apps). Hoping to integrate with everything under the sun throughout next year.
