Hey Product Hunt! Thank you @kevin for supporting our launch! This has been the most exciting launch EVER! I introduce you - Private Chatrooms For High-Quality Founders! A few weeks back, myself, 2 YC alumni's and a Clubhouse legend, we came up with this after talking with loads of founders. It felt like chaotic group chats & irrelevant content do not help anyone, especially founders. Scrolling through millions of messages, taking part in irrelevant conversations and a lot of spamming, IS A WASTE OF TIME. And we all know, FOUNDERS DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR BULLS**T ❤️ After a few drinks over Zoom, we were like "Why don't we solve that problem once and for all? Let's make something that never becomes chaotic, and it is always relevant to the founders." Therefore, we spent 2 weeks coding it! @tasos_valtinos Ahh i see. i thought it was a web app. To be fair though you can still invite people by email. I was slightly reluctant to give up my phone number. Feels unnecessary.

Nice idea. How do you ensure the quality of the founders? So it doesn't get overrun with salesmen and spam like most groups do..

@alexisjst Hi Alex! Great question. First, the way the profile setup works it is meant to be used by active founders only. 2 whenever there is a spammy kind of post, it gets flagged by our internal tool and gets deleted. 3) Which is something we are testing today, is if we make it invite only if that increases the quality.

No one else has mentioned it here. So maybe it’s just me. But I can’t make head nor tail of the UI. The main landing page of the app seems t have three distinct sections, but none of them have headers. What’s the difference between these three sections? Also on the top section, one of the elements is made up of three parts. They seem to be 1) the authors name 2) the subcategory eg “general” 3) an excerpt of the post However when you tap into it there is a big header titled “hiring talent”. Why is that not on the homepage as it’s the biggest signaller as to what the post is about? That’s just one example.

Also when I tap the PLUS icon at the top of the homepage it brings up my devices sharing options. What’s that about? Since when did a plus icon (+) mean share? And what would be shared exactly from that page? Sorry, I like this concept which is why I’m being verbose with my feedback.

@mickc79 Hey! Love the feedback. Dont worry about being verbose, no time for hard feelings :P Restructuring the components of the home page, is my main task for our next update. For this one I focused on completing the chatrooms and test the assumption. I completely agree that the home page is "too much" the way it is, and confuses people.

Interesting idea! Can people come and go in these chatrooms? And is it possible to close a room when you're less than 10 people inside? I guess some serious founders would not want to let anyone join if the conversation has already been taken to the next level, or if they're satisfied by who they found already

@rubenwolff Hi Ruben. Thanks for the support. Yes, you can join and leave a room if you want! Right now the room closes automatically when it reaches 10 people or when 24 hrs pass after creation. So even if only 5 people are in, 24hrs they will be the only ones with access. But it is not customizable yet. We first wanted to see if it is useful. And looks like it is :)
