Hi Michael! Exciting to see Mailbird finally on Mac. The unified inbox and app integrations sound like a game-changer. How does the experience differ from the Windows version? Looking forward to trying it out!
@web3_antivirus Hello Alex! We hope that you'll enjoy Unified Inbox and our app integrations :-) If you have tried our Windows, version Mailbird for Mac should feel familiar although we have revamped the interface. Witht time we'll be adding more and more features and enhancements to Mailbird for Mac. We'll be looking forward to hearing your feedback. Thanks for giving us a go!
Email the way you like it, now on Mac. From this tagline, I can't tell what problem Mailbird solves. It just suggests that it's a well-known product on another platform. I don't think this is a very good tagline. 🤣
Anyway congrats on your launch, team Mailbird!
Thanks @bonvisions! We hope that you'll enjoy trying out our latest product. This is just the beginning of the road for Mailbird for Mac, as we intend to gradually (and rapidly) expand its suite of features and functionalities in order to be a suitable option for as many people as possible. :)
Yes, the thing that we've been waiting on for a long time: MacOS desktop client! 🤩
Been using Mailbird on a daily basis from my Win days: nowadays, I'm a MBP user but I can't wait to try out all the new features on it as well.
Congrats for the launch!
@blendorwhat Thank you so much and we are glad to have you among our users! I hope you will like Mailbird for Mac as well and please reach out to us if you have any questions or feedback regarding it 🙏
Hey, I have downloaded the mailbird for mac to test it out to compare with spark. I was going to purchase, as I like the Ui, however, I cannot see these features which I use each and every day:
Snooze
Send Later
Slack integration
The website says you have all of these, but why can I not see them?
@mrpawelmajda for your information, i also found your live chat on the website, that says 'customer support' and asked if those features were a part of the mailbird for mac. They said they are the sales team and cannot answer that and i need to fill out a form to the support link. Wasn't impressed really, wouldnt have taken much just to tell me if those features are in the mac version or not, would it?
Hey @oak_cassidy That's not in there yet but we'll add it in the coming months. The website mentions them but it's for the Windows version. sorry for the confusion. We're working on it
@alexis_dolle1 ok thanks, thats a shame, as i use these every single day, I'll look again in six months and see if you have them, as still interested, even with your disinterested sales team! By the way, added the facebook app when trying it out, the app has no video playback at all, assume you already working on that issue..
Really nice app to use, but the mac version is missing too many important features compared to the windows version. Wouldn't it be fairer to have the mac version cheaper than the windows version right now, its more like a beta compared to the windows app.....
@oak_cassidy Thanks for your feedback Darren. :) Our Mailbird 3.0 licenses allow our customers to enjoy both versions of our product on a cross-platform basis, but we completely understand that there might be cases where Mailbird for Mac in its current format might not offer all the required features for a number of its users. However, over time we intend to bring it to the same level as Mailbird 3.0 for Windows which has been the main focus of our efforts for almost 10 years now.
This is just the beginning of the road for Mailbird for Mac, as we intend to gradually (and rapidly) expand its suite of features and functionalities in order to be a suitable option for as many people as possible.
@oliver__jackson Fair enough, though for me I have no use for a windows version. I realised a long time ago never to buy something based on a roadmap, it very rarely progresses as quickly as a roadmap suggests, so i'll check it out again in six months or so
@andrew_colin1 Thank you for your warm words! Native calendar is on our radar but since it is a complex feature it will take some time before we can add it. Please stay tuned though!
I bought the lifetime pro, but honestly, I back to Spark.
Why? Because it has a horrible performance.
For example, While in spark I receive the mails immediately, with mailbird, I need to wait or force reload. I hope you guys can fix it because it’s frustrating.
As with a few others, I had the lifetime license but was told that it was not valid for this new version. The problem I had was that I had clarified with Mailbird (support ticket ID #99561) that "Mailbird is now on version 2.0. If you bought a lifetime license it will be for Mailbird 2.0 and for any future version. Is there anything else I can help you with?" and with that assurance from the company I paid for the license. TO have the company now telling me that what they promised is not valid leads me to question what is the ethics of the company, and also how do they standby what they commit.
So do be aware that perhaps what new customers who bought the lifetime assurance may not get what they pay for.
@steven_k_c_lee Hi Steven - although I'm sorry to hear that you have had some issues with your license for Mailbird for Windows, we can assure all our customers who include our 'Lifetime Updates' add-on in their purchase of a Mailbird 3.0 license that they will receive any and all future product updates, provided that the add-on is renewed every 12 months.
I will reach out to your separately to discuss this in greater detail, and I hope that we can find a way to resolve this situation positively.
@str_lbora Hi there! You'll be pleased to hear that Dark Mode is in the works. We've had a lot of demand for it from our Early Access users, and our team is working diligently behind the scenes to deliver it asap. Stay tuned! :)
@zagosweden Hi there David. Unfortunately a Slack integration for Mailbird for Mac is still in the works, but I can assure you that it is planned! We have received interest from other people to offer this app integration which is currently available in Mailbird for Windows, so stay tuned for news on this in the near future. :)
Apologies in advance if this causes an inconvenience.
@anthonylei Hi there Anthony! We offer a ChatGPT integration inside Mailbird for Mac which allows you to access it directly from our app. This way, you don't need to open any additional browser windows, and you can copy/paste your text into ChatGPT in order to ask it to summarize or fine-tune the draft of a response.
Hope this helps! :)
Mailbird for Mac is a welcome addition for Mac users seeking a streamlined email experience! The unified inbox makes managing multiple accounts effortless, and the seamless integrations with apps like Slack and Google Calendar are perfect for boosting productivity. Advanced search capabilities and customizable signatures add great flexibility to your workflow. Excited to try out Mailbird on macOS and see how it enhances my email management. Plus, the special discount for the Product Hunt community is an awesome incentive. Congratulations to you and the Mailbird team on this fantastic launch!
@scar_qin Thank you for your feedback! Yes, the unified inbox was one of the highest requested features for our Mac version. That is why we decided to ship it with the very first public release.
@william_jin Hi William! Mailbird for Mac can certainly help you manage your email workflow by providing you with its many innovative features, such as its Unified Inbox, its countless integrations, Email Tracking, etc.
More and more people are giving it a go today, and we very much hope that you will also try it out.
@william_jin Thanks for reaching out. At this point the main customization options lay in the different features.
Some of the ones I can think of that could help you customize your email experience are:
1. the unified inbox, that will let you access all of your email from all of your accounts in one inbox
2. signatures - in Mailbird for Mac you can create and customize multiple signatures for each of your accounts. This makes a big difference because you can build entire email blocks with it and add them to an email depending on the email occasion.
3. App integrations - at this point we have our most popular apps integrated. Them being Whatsapp, Google tools (calendar, sheets etc) and ChatGPT. However, if you don't need then you don't need to enable them. Which keeps the interface of Mailbird clutter free.
Let us know if you have any more questions:-)
@ihuzaifashoukat We're thrilled to announce that you can now give it a go! :) This is just the beginning of the road for Mailbird for Mac, as we intend to put countless resources into gradually (and rapidly) expanding its suite of features and functionalities in order to become a suitable option for as many people as possible.
@varrr_al Thanks for the kind words Olena! This means a lot and we hope that you will increasingly enjoy using Mailbird for Mac as we gradually and rapidly introduce more and more features and functionalities. :)
