Hey Product Hunt, I'm Mike, founder and CEO of Magicflow! Today I'm launching Magicflow 2.0, a time tracker redesigned from the ground up to help you do more deep work. Deep work is the most valuable time we spend working, it's when we make progress on the hardest problems that drive our companies, side projects and research forwards. But the default modern work day is full of interruptions, meetings and context switching, from Slack notifications while Coding to Emails flooding in while you're in Figma. We desperately need tools that help us manage our precious attention. In 2021, I tried every time tracker out there. But none of them made my work life easier, or more focused. Time tracking has historically been a clunky experience full of manual recategorising, complicated interfaces and a lack of focus on what's important. We've spent the last year iterating with early users, shipping features and refining the interface down to the simplest, most powerful views, helping you understand how you're doing and how you can do better.

It's been a busy year! We rebuilt the interface from the ground up, released the app on Windows, and even invented a new UX in the time-tracking space, of post-session coaching using AI to help keep you on track (screenshot 2).

Magicflow is now a next-generation time tracker, subtly infused with AI in the places that matter, focused on helping you control your time like never before, and do more valuable work. It's built for people who care about their work and how well they achieve it and want to be intentional with how they spend their time. People from startups to bigCos alike have been using Magicflow as a daily work assistant. I'm super excited for you to try it!

Having previously built a privacy startup, we are incredibly keen on making sure your data is safe and in your control. The big two differences here between us and our competitors are: 🧑‍💻 Window titles and URLs (the sensitive stuff) don't leave your computer by default, we have 0 access to them 🔒🔒Your data is double-encrypted in Firebase, once by us and once by Google 🔒🔒

My only hesitance in upvoting this is giving away the massive alpha I've gotten from MagicFlow since signing up as a beta tester. Couldn't be a bigger fan of this product and the team that has been GRINDING on this like no other. Congrats on the launch! Question: am I able to track my performance over time? i.e. If I wanted to see how my focus scores have improved over time. I'd like to be able to correlate this with the other optimizations I am testing.

I've been using Magicflow since it's first launch and it's been great seeing the product evolve! The session coach has helped me be more intentional about my work days! I'm able to understand where I'm spending my time and adjust early when I need to do more of a certain activity e.g "coding" vs "spending time in meetings"

That's quite amazing. It gives me intuitive picture of how much time I've spent in each application. But moreover, how can it help me to be more focused? Like I've realized that there is a lot of switches that breaks my focus. How can it help?
