CleanMyMac X is the 10th anniversary edition of CleanMyMac, a native macOS tool that daily cleans one million Macs worldwide. The app does all the essential housekeeping on a Mac: deletes tons of junk and malware, and makes a computer faster and more organized. You can use CleanMyMac X to manage storage, apps, and monitor the health of your Mac.
I've purchased the CleanMyMac 3. I've tried CleanMyMac X and found the differences are about the performance, UI design and melware detection. I don't think it worth to purchase the new subscription plan.
Pros:Nice visual design
Cons:Expensive for the 1 year subscription
I've been using CMM for the last decade and the new X version is great. I also recommend MacPaw's SetApp subscription service b/c it includes this app and lots of others. CleanMyMac X has some nice improvements, including the app updater module. The new UX is slick too.
Great work MacPaw!
Pros:Great uninstaller, new updater built-in. easy way to manage system tasks
Cons:None
Been using CleanMyMac for years, never disappoints.
Pros:Super awesome app. Uninstaller is a big ➕
Cons:I almost read that as "Clean My Ex" only if 🤣
I'm in love with the new design, it's definitely the new age of mac apps! And thank you for new features like an Internet speed tracking.
Pros:Awesome design and new features!
Cons:Didn't find
I've used CleanMyMac for a long time. It is amazing. This newest version is even better than the last few versions. They have included some amazing new features such as malware detection and cleanup. Highly recommended for anyone using a Mac.
Pros:thorough, gets the job done
Cons:none
Every new version puts the bar higher in how a native app should feel and look. You can tell the difference in performance in any mac at the first use.
This new glossy UI is a delight. Also great new features as “Malware Removal”.
Pros:A-must for your Mac. Revamped.
Cons:None
First off, respect to the devs, this is a really well built app. Don’t be distracted by spammy alternatives, if you want a Mac cleaning app look no further.
But please beware of maintenance minutia.
Seeing those temporary files disappear, all those apps updating, that ram meter go up and down - it’s all very satisfying and addictive… but ultimately distracting. Not having to worry about virus scanners, endless updates and memory management is why I left Windows for Mac, I don’t want to bring back maintenance and monitoring to a machine which works just fine.
If your goal is to be more efficient on your Mac, first look at what you can remove rather than what you can install.
Pros:This is a very well built suite of satisfying maintenance tools
Cons:The performance returns may not be worth your time
