When I first saw the trailer Niccolò Miranda had made for his “Designing Creative Portfolios” Course, I was really blown away by the level of professionalism, these courses are such a personal expression of each creatives experience and ideas, I can’t wait to launch the next set of courses to get inside the minds of, and learn from the digital artists who design the stuff that makes us say WOW. Stay tuned for courses on WebGL, 3D, Design Systems and much more.
Learning resources focused on creative web development are scarce, great initiative! I have always wondered how those slick animations are made in the Awwwards winners but could never get into it.
@rachelandthat, I'm not sure why (and I truly don't mean to be harsh), this isn't lumped into an aggregation of other sites/work with exceptionally high prices for what is available cheaper by instructors with, so they say decades of experience. I'm skipping over the YouTube pile (save an except for Derek Banas) as that's a mixed bag and free is not always better. i just don't see the major leap forward in learning. i'm happy to be proven wrong and welcome a more in depth reasoning/difference of this site. I applaud the hard work regardless.
@rick_segal1 Thanks for the comment Rick, in response: some of the designers have a real fanbase who are delighted to see more from them, their processes, how they are in person etc. You are right the teachers don't all have decades of experience, but they produce quality innovative work which gets people excited, also the learning concept is by no means a leap forward, but it's providing a platform for talented creatives who want to share - and for the Awwwards community who want to learn. Thanks for appreciating the hard work though :)
I had the worst experience with a lot of their tutorials. especially Merging WebGL and HTML worlds. the guy rush the whole thing not only it didn't have no starter file or final source code or nothing. He was just talking, and skipping through the whole tutorials. and he had already made his own html, css, and js file and didn't want to share or let alone put it on the screen so we can follow along. This was the worst purchase ever. I understand these guys are good at it but it was a waste of time I couldn't come up with nothing. I just had to watch the guy code.
