Hi Product Hunt! 😸
We're excited to officially peel back the curtain and say goodbye to the waitlist that we've had for ~2 years at Loops!
In that time we have individually onboarded thousands of customers with thousands more still on the waitlist. We've taken all of that early feedback and learnings to shape the product into what you see today.
Loops is powerful while also being simple and beautiful. That's something you probably never thought you'd read about an email platform.
With Loops you can:
🤖 Put the necessary touch points for your SaaS on auto-pilot to ensure that your customers are always in the loop
🎉 Send out your new product announcements
✏️ Join the newsletter craze and send your thoughts to your readers (I personally use Loops for my own newsletter!)
🤝 Send transactional email (ie. forgot password)
♾ And more!
It's email made easy.
We will be here in the comments all day. We'd love to hear what you think! 🙌
@leena_jose The early onboardings really helped us prioritize the "must have" or table stakes features for some companies that we knew we absolutely needed to have prior to a public launch like this.
You only get one real shot at it, after all.
Once we'd hear the same request over and over and over again we knew it needed to be a priority.
As for automating the various touch points of a SaaS... with Loops you can set up endless automated emails with triggers based around events that are ready to send 24/7 without you needing to intervene.
Onboarding drip for new customers, inviting trial users to upgrade to paid, nudging inactive users, asking dedicated users for feedback or reviews, etc can all be automated in order to keep your user activity high and customer support low.
@ryangilbert Congratulations on the official launch, Loops! 🚀
Your journey from the waitlist to this moment is impressive, and it's great to see how you've used early feedback to shape the product. Loops sounds like a versatile and user-friendly email platform, and the fact that you use it for your own newsletter speaks volumes.
Wishing you a fantastic launch day, and may you continue to grow and evolve with more exciting features in the future. 🎉
Cheers! 🥂
We've been building Loops for the better part of the last two years.
We haven't been building in silence either - the first year we did almost 300 onboarding calls. We have hundreds of Slack Connect channels set up with our users and it's helped us build this platform.
We built Loops because we used Mailchimp, Sendgrid and Mandrill at our previous companies. They were so painful and so expensive. There had to be a better way. Now, with thousands of users sending emails (>1m/day) we're delighted to remove the waitlist and open it up.
Now any one can use Loops, no call, no waitlist. And it's free for your first 1,000 contacts.
I hope this solves a problem for you. It solved one for me, I use it every day. And please! Let me know what you think :)
Congrats on the launch, @frantzlight and the Loops team! Chris, I'm reminded of what you had noted in your Relay interview: "Because delight just doesn’t exist in this space. I don’t even know if users in this are familiar with that term. Consider this: There’s no Notion of this space yet. There’s no Linear. There’s no Figma. We want to own that mantle." So great to see that goal being furthered! 🙌🏽
@frantzlight congrats Chris! The attention to detail in Loops is clear. Your team has taken something that is so painful and made it simple and easy. Not to mention, the customer support is second to none. Big fan and glad to be an early user!
@loops_adam what I think is you and @frantzlight are two of the most switched-on and connected to your customer, founders in the space. That's reflected in the product 💯
I appreciate the focus on simplicity. I've used several ESPs and many are quite heavy and overwhelming. But it's often easier to build a usable b2b tool like this in the early days... and then customers request a ton of advanced features that complicate the product.
How do you think about this as you're maturing/expanding Loops, @frantzlight?
@frantzlight@rrhoover Ya, agreed. For me, MailChimp started out this way. It was only once they started expanded to social, ads, etc and built more features that it became clumsy. And that was pre-acquisition. How do you stay clean and delightful as you scale?
@rrhoover This is the number one thing I think about from a ux perspective. We want to add more features, but we also want it to feel usable for anyone, at any stage of their company.
What works well for me is laying out all of the functionality of a component in a simple list, then trying to use existing component structure and design language to build it. That doesn't always work and it's often a few dozen figma screens or iterations in code before I land on what feels right.
I also tend to launch with less, then add more as users request it, even if it's built. Every feature is essentially it's own MVP but presented (hopefully) in a simple, clean and coherent manner.
@rrhoover@sarah_wright7 Once you start adding the verticals it can become tricky. I like to look at Stripe and Notion for this. The core experience for both of those products is the same still after all these years but they offer so much more functionality than they previously did.
I think first user experience should be universal (a page in notion or the dashboard in stripe) but it should grow to be a hub for other services.
Where MC and other services took a wrong turn (imo) is by cannibalizing the core first user experience in order to sell in other verticals.
I say this from the outside looking in, MC is an incredible company and there are likely problems I haven't experienced yet :)
Thanks for the question!
So I guess this is like mail chimp. But more modern and easy to use? One question. Why do you think email is getting a resurgence? Is it because SoMe's are locking down their api's. And email is more open / not controlled by anyone?
So, is your USP sending an email for example, when the server is down because the integration will trigger the email? We're all set up on Mailmodo and Intercom for some emails and if you had to give me a one min pitch as to why I should switch, what would it be?
The pricing is too high for me and it seems limited. What's the difference between your service and others? For example, why you're better than Zepto mail by Zoho?
I am a big fan of Chris and the team, who are building a product that caters to specific use cases like addressing waitlists, feature announcements, or sending PMF surveys!
Loops is by far the simplest amd most elegant email marketing tool.
I use it for my side project GuestLab and it works like a charm 💯
Hey there, Loop team! The product seems thrilling! How is the process of creating emails organized? Do I need to upload my own HTML templates or can I build an email right within the platform? Anyway, you got my upvote!
@darya_antonyuk We have a built in editor to create emails without code. Coding emails and platform support is very challenging - let us handle that for you! However, if you want to code an email we have the ability to upload your own MJML code.
This looks like everything I've ever wanted from an e-mail service!
Are there any plans to expand beyond SaaS use-cases? I sell music licenses via a platform called Beatstars (they essentially provide Music Licensing for beats as a Service) and their platform has a direct integration with Mailchimp.
As a creator I would absolutely love to use Loops instead, however, I don't immediately see how I might manage to get that working without such a direct integration. Is there any way for someone like me, who is dependant on the integrations of a third party marketplace to still make use of Loops?
Love the intro but I'm worried about security. Please tell us that you're not tracking us like mice. Also, is it a coincidence that this snappy video is all drums and Chris Frantz was the drummer in the Talking Heads? I think not!
@frantzlight Are you tracking email text on Loops for AI purposes? How confident can we be about the security of your system and what assurances can you give us about privacy, stability, and capacity? Also, do you really think your work on the debut album of the Tom Tom Club was superior to all but the first four Talking Heads albums?
Yo I think you just dropped one of the best email marketing tools for SaaS currently because I've not seen any other email marketing platform that is specifically for tech founders and SaaS products.
I let me tell you I've been doing email marketing for SaaS founders specifically for the past nine months so I'm well versed with the industry and I know a lot of tools in the market already
If you can position this as the ultimate email marketing tool for SaaS founders, You are going to capture a very big market!
congratulations on the launch Ryan!
So wildly stoked right now for others to experience Loops! 👏👏 Have been huge fans and customers for a while!
The product is one of the most user-friendly email clients of anything on the market, and the team + product direction is killer. @frantzlight, @loops_adam, and team have been so atop of things, the most engaged and plugged in with their customers, which has resulted in such an excellent product.
We use Loops for our own newsletter + process-focused emails (triggering at different times) after having switched from all the big players out there. Finally finding a home with Loops 🫶
Even have them listed as a "Top Pick" in the category on our site since they are taking it by storm:

Excited for what's to come, you've got a fan in me 🙌
we don't send emails super frequently, yet loops makes that process super easy.
their pricing model feels so much more aligned with customers than the incumbents.
sleek UI/UX, making it quite fun to send out stuff.
we'll start sending emails frequently soon and will defo do it with loops 🙏
I've been a fan of Loops since I got off the waitlist a few months ago. Having used dozens of email tools over the years in my Digital Marketing, E-commerce and most recently, NoCode work, I can confidently say that all of them pretty much suck but not Loops.
Chris & the team have been laser focused in creating a new type of email solution that you actually want to integrate with your custom software whether that be a SaaS tool or a NoCode app built in Webflow, Wized & Xano (my preferred stack!).
The fact that Loops treats marketing & transactional type emails with the same respect is a big win but for me, it's the API capabilities, even on the free plan, that won me over. Combine that with triggered email sequences and you've got most of the key features you need for any type of customer email communication.
I believe in this product and team so much that I've baked Loops into my NoCode course so that all my students get to hear about it and use it for their app builds.🤗
@theflowagency That's so great to hear Glenn, really appreciate the support. Here to support nocode in the future also, plenty of cool stuff coming soon :)
As a long-time customer I'm super excited for this, I've been using Loops for close to a year already. So amazed by how much the team has been building during this period.
I use it for automation, transactions and marketing, and its all working really great.
Keep up the hard work and congratulations on the launch.
How could you not love this platform?
It's super easy to set up, create, and send what you need with Loops.
The team is ultra friendly, helpful, and all around amazing.
Wow seems like a great project, i love the landingpage and will definitly test it for my current project. i didnt look that much in the docs for now but i hope its possible to send with your api cutom content inside the email, keep it up, i will try it soon
