Today we’d like to show you our latest integration with Mailchimp, which turns the chat widget into a multifunctional marketing tool. Now you can provide great customer service to visitors to your website via chat and also nurture relationships by inviting them to sign up for your newsletter in the pre-chat survey or during the chat. You can also promote your newsletter to website visitors via automated messages displayed contextually on certain conditions.
But that’s not all. As everyone knows, email marketing isn’t exactly about sending as many emails as you can to the largest possible audience. It’s mainly about delivering valuable content to the right people. To make sure that every subscriber receives content that’ll engage them, we’ve synced up the Mailchimp audiences with LiveChat groups. Each group of visitors, based, for example, on language, interests, or customer profile, can be automatically assigned to the right audience. So now, your new subscribers will receive content better suited to their actual needs, which makes it all the more likely they’ll convert in the future.
With this new integration, you also have access to the Mailchimp data inside the LiveChat app, which provides you with additional context during the conversation. Thanks to the shared database, you can view their subscription details, open rates, and the audiences they belong to, etc. What’s more, if you want to ask visitors to sign up to the newsletter during the chat, you can instantly choose which audience you want to assign them to, as you’ll know what they’re interested in.
