Listy is an app to keep track of your favorite things privately using lists. You can save in the same app your favorite movies, books, video games, links or anything you want.
Been using this for a while. Mostly happy with it BUT it really needs CSV import/export. I can't invest too much in this app since it might be discontinued at any time for all I know.
HI @anna_0x we are going to build some tools to let people import their content into Listy from other sites easily. We are super committed with the app and there are not plans on changing that.
Additionally, as everything is stored in your device, even if at some point we stop working on the app you will have access permanently to the app and all your content.
Hope this clears doubts!
@lbrkr Yep it's a global release but if you've been a beta-tester and you are up to date with the latest builds you probably had the public version some weeks before anyone else :)
Looks like a great bookmarking app. Congrats @basiclines on the successful launch. I think this needs a web version too. As a developer I use my laptop and across a lot of useful stuff which i bookmark. It will be great along with a web version, a chrome extension might do.
After our successful launch of our private beta, where we become the 2nd most upvoted product of the day and after nearly 2.000 beta-testers that joined us during the past months, we are glad to announce that Listy today is available for download for everyone.
We built Listy around a personal reflection that i've been thinking about for a year now: Bringing people back in control.
Companies fight for owning our interests, what we love, what we visit and use, because that information gives them leverage, gives them the power to know more about us, to sell our information to the best bidder, and to the very end, to become us into this: $.
We are not in control anymore, because we depend on those companies for keeping track of the things we love, and with each search, favorite or like we give them more power.
Now it’s time to bring you back in control, to let you own your digital life, to let you decide freely what to do with it.
That’s why we created Listy, to serve you and provide you control over your content, a tool to complement and amplify you, not a medium to transform you into a product. Everything in Listy is built & designed around this 2 main topics:
* Privacy and control over your content
* One stop shop for all the things you love
Now it's time for you to decide what to do with your content.
This is amazing! What a polish and beautiful product. We should get back in control over the content! Thanks Ismale for putting this beautiful and useful product out there!
It's simply awesome! I was waiting for someone to do it for years now and I think it can't be made better than this ❤ I shared feedback about adding a list for people that can be used and customized many times, for example, movies directors, people I met, etc, I think that this would make it even more brilliant ❤
Today we've launched a new update with improves on many small details to make Listy faster, easier and more pleasant to use: https://twitter.com/listy_is/sta...
I've been using Listy for a few months and this is now my default app for listing TV Show, Movies, Restaurants and so on. The UX is really nice and the smart displaying for the different categories is awesome !
Glad to see this product available to everyone now :)
Congrats from France @basiclines for the launch !
@basiclines@bryce_mckernan if I was adding a book for instance to one of my reading lists, would you link an option to purchase that book directly on the app?
Great app, good job guys. Just a quick fix I’d like to point out: with “Enhance Contrast” option activated (iOS > Settings > General > Accessibily > Screen), the text in the app becomes almost unreadable. Fix this and I’m yours forever.
@riccardo_covelli Wow thanks! We've been chasing this bug for some weeks but never actually made it to find the root cause. Will ship it a fix on the next release for sure. Stay tuned!
@brady_endres1 Not for desktop, but on mobile you have the Share system option available on any app and Listy will appear as another option to receive a link
Have been using Any.do for the couple of years now. Listy is very simillar but your slick design and simplicity is way ahead, congrats to the team. Nice widget look, also 🙌
I don't like when an important app like this is crushing all the time, think Any.do have problems with the new iOS, esspec. while entering the everyday wifi range 🤔 Maybe they send all of our data, crossed my mind... Good to know you have focused to the data security.
Finally, will give it a try starting now, think the team have done amazing job.
P.S. White-black in Dark Mode Off is so nice. Best of success. M
