@milkers Hey Mustafa, we actually have a web app that's live! We wanted to make it really easy for anyone to listen to Clips & Conversations even if they don't have the LISN app installed or are on their desktop.
You can check it out here https://play.lisnclips.app/#/con.... We use Flutter which makes it easy to deploy on multiple platforms like iOS, Android & Web. It also makes PWA support super easy which we've rolled out as well.
Congrats on the launch @zameer_masjedee! What was your inspiration for creating this? What are the biggest differences today's version vs. the original?
@samdebrule Hey Sam! We’ve been avid podcast fans for a number of years and always had various frustrations with the options we could get our hands on. It was tough to find great new creators to listen to and sharing content with friends usually meant they never opened that 1 hour episode you’d send them.
With LISN we wanted to build a platform that didn’t force you to first figure out what show to jump into, but instead could give you content for whatever topic you’re interested in. Even if you have no idea which creators talk about that space. We’ve found users appreciate this format as it ends up helping them find new creators after they’ve already had a chance to listen to some clips from their show. Helping those creators simultaneously grow their audience!

@maxwellcdavis Thanks Maxwell! We want to make clipping as seamless as possible so it doesn't take away from you getting to experience the podcast you're enjoying. We also incorporated bookmarks so that you can save specific spots in any clip or episode for easy reference later. Whether to listen back to or as a starting point to create a clip whenever you're able to do so. Would love to hear what you think!

Great approach for applications related to podcasts. Creating our own playlists from the topics we are interested in is really a powerful feature. Congrats 🎉

Been using this app for a while now! These folks are really onto something. The best part is that the clip playlists (what they're calling "conversations") only get better the more users that are on the platform. So this product hunt launch better go crazy!

@ak_k1 Thanks AK! We wanted to make it easy to listen to playlists anywhere and share them with people who have the app and those who don't. Try creating a playlist of your own to share as well!
I listen to many science podcasts where they cover multiple topics and being able share just the topic I find interesting to my friends IS HUGE! I don’t have to tell them “skip to this”, “listen for only this long”, I just do that myself!
@logan_gell Good friends share clips, not episodes. Easy to make life easier for people and hopefully have them actually listen to what you share vs ignore it because they don't have the time!
Absolute game changer for podcasts listening. I love making clips to share with friends or just to have for myself to listen to later. I’ve stumbled upon many new podcasts and creators by listening to clips or conversations made by others as well. I also really like that I can create clips using text created so it’s easy to find where I want my clip to start and end. And can we also just appreciate the beauty and aesthetic of the app? Well done LISN!!

I love listening to podcasts to learn about new topics and hear new opinions, but I rarely have the time to deep dive into the topics that interest me. LISN makes finding, absorbing and sharing new information from a wide variety of creators so much easier and far less time-consuming. Absolute killer platform!

For someone who isn't a very active podcast listener, LISN makes it easy for me to discover different perspectives and podcasts on topics. It lowers the bar drastically to find relevant points and actually save them for a later time with notes about your thoughts. LISN puts LISNers first!

LISN makes curating valuable sales & leadership content easy. Gone are the days where you listen to a 1 hour podcast, hear something impactful, and completely forget where you found it. With the clip feature you can save a segment, share with a friend, and store for later. Never going back to the old way of taking in podcasts!
@david_andrews Obviously I love this too but I truly believe a lot of very valuable information gets lost in podcasts. We want to make it really easy to surface all of that.
As a podcast listener and creator, LISN has been great for discovering new content and sharing mine in digestible snippets. It's so easy to go back and find sections that resonate to play back again and again. Congrats to the LISN team on the PH launch!

LISN has been such a game changer in how I listen to podcasts. Now I can clip and save segments I care about to listen to again in the future. I used to listen to podcasts and forget everything I'd hear. Not anymore thanks to LISN.

As a podcast enthusiast I’m listening to a variety of topics and creators and there’s always moments that I want to send to my friends to follow up on something I was talking about or give them some more information. LISN has been fantastic for that, I can quickly clip the part I want thats relevant and share it with my friends, and I’m discovering more content that’s actually relatable to me through their A.I curation.

Alright let's start with the basics. All podcasts have moved to the long format, we are talking hours of content per episode. Most podcasts have also moved to the conversational format. This means that the most popular podcasts in the world cover a ton of topics in each episode.
Think of the experience when you are listening to a podcast and a specific segment of it stands out to you. You have talked about this exact topic with your friend and want to share the perspective you just heard with them.
How would you do that today? 'Hey man, go to the All In Podcast, minute 12:35 and listen for 8 min 30 seconds and let me know what you think?' that's table stake for LISN, it makes it super simple to create these clips amongst a ton of noise in each podcast episode and share it with friends and start a conversation.
This is where it gets really exciting. I often listen to these podcasts and I hear an opinion that peaks my interest. But my next immediate thought is what do others think, who is a respected individual in this field who thinks the opposite. That's where the curated playlist and the AI playlist come in. This means you can create your own playlist or you can hear different perspectives on certain topics automatically.
So think of that experience. You get sent a clip on a certain topic. (It can be whatever, was Will right in slapping Chris, or it could be something about inflation that the All in besties are discussing) you then get an automatic curated playlist of diverse opinions on that topic. No more echo chamber of what you exactly want to hear.
I think LISN has a chance to change how we consume media. I am rooting for this team.

And we believe more people will be looking for this format and level of convenience in the future which is one of the main drivers behind our Conversations feature.
