Hey Hunters, This is Jinu, the CEO of LINER. Pocket is an amazing service, we use Pocket everyday to save articles to read-it-later. However, I find that the reason I save articles is to re-read that one sentence. I save a long-form essay, then frantically scroll the essay to find my phrase. Save your favorite articles with Pocket, then save your favorite sentences with LINER. LINER for Pocket helps you highlight and save your favorite sentences from Pocket for FREE! Simply login to LINER, connect to Pocket, and start highlighting. Happy Highlighting~ Jinu from LINER (CEO) P.S. Feel free to ask us any questions about LINER in the comment section below, We don't eat, sleep, or blink so your questions will be answered in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

@jiyoungpark922 @jinukim21 It's almost as if their a bunch of robots working together in a startup.

@jinukim21 hey. Any chance you will work on mobile app?
Min Park
I primarily use Pocket for reading my articles. As I'm a readaholic and only read clean text. It's great that I can finally highlight my Pocket articles.
Ji Young Park
@mynhpark Personally I use Instapaper. But I'll give Pocket a try
Mark W. Kaigwa
@jiyoungpark922 @mynhpark Yes, this is why I left Pocket honestly. Instapaper's highlight/takes and export to Evernote is so so so so smooth and necessary. Not to mention they have a better catalog of typefaces to read with. Try it and see how you like it but you're already using the better service for highlighting/note-taking, IMO.
Min Park
Congrats of Pocket being acquired by Mozilla Firefox!
Kaylee Song
@mynhpark Actually I'm a bit curious to how much Pocket was acquired for.
Min Park
@jbschaff @kaylee_song Not sure why they didn't publicly announce the amount :0

This comment section is the worst
Jinu Kim
@fishsander Oops, it seems like our marketing manager went a bit overboard. We'll tell him to stop commenting.
Sander Visser
@jinukim21 The same thing happened on LINER for iOS, by you. Seems like you're just trying to up the amount of comments and you've got a little upvoting team ready to upvote your own comments. Not cool.
Nick Nish
@fishsander Spammy 😟. I'm not entirely sure what different about this launch than their previous integration.
Huy Zing
@jinukim21 Absolutely terrible. You realize how bad this makes you look? Tone-deaf
Jinu Kim
@huyzing I agree. I should've checked quickly enough at the beginning of this mess. Sorry for this messed up comment section. We tried to remove the mess but there was no way to turn it back. We are usually better than this so we've discussed a lot and split up with some marketing guys who were responsible for this. This will never happen again. Sorry for messing up this section again.

I sometimes drag my mouse along Pocket articles, to mimic highlighting online.
Kaylee Song
@mynhpark I used to use a highlighter pen, now I think I might use LINER
Min Park
Hello LINER, Hello World
Min Park
I know that technically Instapaper and Pocket do the same thing, personally I find the Pocket design more appealing.
Kaylee Song
@mynhpark I just cannot use Instapaper, it feels too much like a newspaper.
Min Park
LINER integrates with various services alongside Pocket. Another primary integration is with Evernote. You can easily export your highlights to Evernote.
Min Park
You can also import Instapaper articles, alongside Pocket articles
Ji Young Park
@mynhpark What services are you planning on integrating in the future?
Brian Woo
Finally... LINER meets Pocket! This is one of the best collaborations in a tech scene.
Min Park
It's great that I have a central feed for both LINER and Pocket. I find that highlighting articles helps me really understand articles. By physically dragging my mouse over sentences. The phrase is better engrained in my mind. Save your reading for later with Pocket, Save your highlights for later with LINER. Pocket is great for saving basic pages, LINER is great for saving sentences. In the future LINER might include various feeds, similar to Feedly. Pocket, Instapaper, Chrome Bookmarks, and eBooks. Your Pocket articles are mirrored in LINER in real-time, so you always have your most recent Pocket articles ready to highlight. Highlight your Pocket articles! Highlight the world! LINER is also building LINER for Firefox. You can highlight articles on your Firefox browser. People used to be confused on Pocket. They understand that there would soon be a flood of content and there would be no way to consume all the published content in one sitting. Hence, we needed a Read-it-Later service.
Jinu Kim
Look forward to LINER for Android! The Android app will come out in about 3-5 months.
Victor Iryniuk
@jinukim21 This is great! Any way I can receive a notification for that? Koz, that's where I'd need this functionality the most - while commuting and reading Pocket from my phone.
Kaylee Song
Do you have LINER for Safari?
Brian Woo
@kaylee_song Not yet, currently we're focusing on LINER for Chrome and LINER for iOS
Kaylee Song
How do you highlight PDF files?
Jinu Kim
@kaylee_song You can upload PDF files at this link http://getliner.com/upload
Jinu Kim
We initially started LINER as a simply iPhone App, now we have a Chrome, iPhone, and Firefox Extension.
Brian Woo
You can also checkout our Web Home. You can check LINER on any browser.
Kaylee Song
This looks wonderful. I've always Pocket to have highlighting.
Dun
Why not just use Instapaper directly?
Jinu Kim
@huangdun Instapaper or Evernote highlights are just highlighted text. With LINER we save your highlights separately. In the future, each highlight will be an independent part that can be moved and curated.
Xander Vinogradov
FINALLY
Min Park
@xetoya We went through various iterations. First we had Pocket articles mixed in the main feed. Now we have a separate Reading List tab.
James Requa
This is great
Min Park
@james_requa I normally bookmark articles with Pocket. I just highlight them with LINER.
