We've made it to basecamp on a longer journey to 'Peak App'. We want you to like it more, but need it less, by reducing the number of steps to get where you're going. We want to shift focus up, from your phone to your home.

I'm sure your app is wonderful, but I have no idea what it does differently to any other lighting controller or what brands of smart bulbs it works with. You may want to invest a small part of your resources on better messaging.

I was so privileged to work on this project during my time at LIFX. After many iterations, coffees, tests, more coffees, designs, and updates it has finally been released to the public.
An incredible group of designers, engineers, researchers, illustrators and more poured everything they had into redesigning the way LIFX users interact with their smart lights from the ground up. The focus moved from a 1:1 relationship with lights and onto 1:many relationship between a user and the way they light a space. We took years of feedback, and tested and iterated until we knew it was right.
What excites me most about this major release from the team at LIFX is that it's just the beginning. It lays the foundations for future releases that can now see even bigger changes in the way people interact with smart light and the way they can automate their homes and spaces around them.
This is the first project I've worked on that I've put here for product hunt to check out, so I hope you all enjoy and for those of you with LIFX lights that you get to experience this new relationship with your light for yourself!

I love the control you have over lights, and the day/night program is amazing. I wish I could get the lights to turn on at a certain time, however - if I say I want my wakeup routine to begin at 8, the lights fade on even before then. Overall, though, amazing app that is both simple to use yet offers tons of depth!
