As an avid backpacker and outdoor enthusiast, I am proud to say that I own a LifeStraw. The product works pretty well, however, to claim that it "Turn[s] mucky swamp water into [a] glorious Evian-like refreshment" is incredibly far-fetched. A more accurate tagline would benefit the PH platform much more than providing false advertising.

I like that this has applications in the Western world (e.g. for hiking trips) as well as in developing countries where clean water can be hard to come by. Vestergaard (the manufacturers) also have a programme to help provide clean drinking water to children in developing countries, and a big part of their website is dedicated to tracking the progress of this: http://www.buylifestraw.com/the-...
