WHAT’S UP PRODUCT HUNTERS. Thanks for checking us out. We’re a team of recent + current grads, and the pandemic has made us more aware than ever of online learning’s failures. If you’ve dropped out of a Coursera course before, you’re not alone. 96% of people who enroll in a Coursera course don’t complete it. Lex tries to meet the gaps in learning attitudes. You’re one of three people. You might be A. ‘That Coursera course took up too much time’; so we assembled bite size multimedia content into playlists, as well as enabled auditing of Coursera courses. You might be B. ‘That Coursera course wasn’t fun’; so we integrated the social component of being able to keep track of your friends’ learnings, as well as facilitate discussions once a week around the course content. Or you might be C. ‘I finished my Coursera course with weeks to spare’; in that case, you’re a genuine human specimen who don’t need no community. For the rest of us, it is the combination of content AND community that kept us engaged in classrooms. As we entered adult life, we wanted to build a way to return to the classroom while remaining cognizant of regimented adult schedules. Your feedback is appreciated!

I miss college. I miss doing problem sets with @vibhav_jagwani, having @rohanmenezes distract me during lecture, and all the group meetings where I felt like I had been laughing the whole time, but somehow we'd have finished a paper by the end. Lex's discussion tool is our first step to bringing back that fuzzy feeling of learning with your buds. If you want to dive into the Science of Happiness, or Intro Photography, or anything in between, and think it would be more fun to share that experience friends, give lex a try -- it's free!

I really like the bite-sized microcourse structure. It's like if Lambda School if the student communities weren't self-organized through Slack :)
