CRMs are boring. Like, super boring. And if you’ve ever used one, you know they’re also annoying. The user experience is clunky. The features so complex that you need a PhD to get things working properly. The pricing is both expensive and intentionally misleading (listing monthly prices even though they require you to pay annually? wtf?) So 14 years ago, my brother and I started Less Annoying CRM. The name says it all. We’re yet another CRM, but, you know, less annoying. Still a bit annoying because who in their right mind gets excited about CRMs? But *less* annoying. It was really important to us to bootstrap the business. After all, the main thing making other b2b companies annoying is that they have to please their investors. But the downside of bootstrapping in such a competitive industry is that it takes a **long** time to catch up with the competition. The product started out less annoying, but also honestly kinda mediocre 😬 because there’s only so much two people can do on their own. But gradually over time, we’ve built up a fanatical group of customers, hired an amazing team of people, and slowly made the product not just less annoying, but actually pretty freaking good. This launch is the culmination of all those years of hard work. As of today, we’ve gone from being a customer-friendly but difficult-to-look-at CRM ➡️ a product that I’m actually proud to put head-to-head against the best in the biz. If you’re new to LACRM, here’s what you can expect: 👉 Simple - We only serve small businesses, so there’s no distracting power features meant for giant enterprises. 👉 One price - I hate pricing grids. It’s so hard to figure out which version you’ll need, and you always worry about getting upcharged after you’re trapped. We just have one price: $15/user/month. 👉 Great customer service - No chatbots, no outsourced support. Our average CRM Coach has been on the team for five years, so you know you’re talking to an expert. If you’re an existing customer, here’s what’s new: 🎨 A brand new design that takes our product from looking practical but outdated to looking modern and clean. ⚙️ Brand new Workspace widgets let you pick and choose exactly what you want to see on your dashboard 🗂️ Custom field sections let you sort your fields out into categories (+ collapse them to get them out of the way) If you’re a current customer, I hope you love the changes, and I’d love to hear your feedback! If you’re new to LACRM, give it a spin (you don’t even need to sign up to try it out, just click “see how it works” on our homepage). Thanks! 👀 P.S. Here’s a special link for Product Hunters that will get you a 60-day trial (vs. our usual 30-day trial) if you're interested: https://www.lessannoyingcrm.com/...

@tyler_king1 amazing story, thanks for sharing this much in your comment. I didn't know LACRM was bootstrapped, congrats on the launch!! 🚀💪💪
Tyler King
@axel_lavergne Thanks! Yeah, my first job out of college was at a VC-funded startup and almost everyone got laid off during the financial crisis in 2008. Thankfully I kept my job, but it was such a terrible experience that I decided I'd never raise money from investors because I don't want to ever be in a situation where we can't survive with just the money our customers give us.

If you're considering a CRM but afraid of the cost and complexity of the big vendors, give Less Annoying CRM a test drive. They have the BEST demo site - just start using the product with dummy data and see everything about how it works with no login, no email, no friction at all. And they have integrations to make Gmail, Outlook, VoIP, Contact Forms, and Email Marketing a breeze. At my company, we're building an integration with LACRM right now, because we believe in the product, the team and the vision.
Tyler King
Thanks @jessehercules! I'm looking forward to working together.

The people at Less Annoying CRM are like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. They're committed to keeping LACRM a lean, mean, super-fast contacts engagement fighting machine. Just the CRM you need, when working for a small- or medium-sized business, and no more. That means they routinely, if politely and cogently, shoot down most of my feature suggestions. Maybe one day ... :) They also offer some of the best customer support in the biz. In some instances, you're talking directly with product managers and developers. They themselves use the product ("eating their own dog food") – which matters. If you've never used a CRM before, as I hadn't before using it, their navigational menu interface and their various input screens make intuitive sense from the get-go. They also offer a brief and informative tutorial "how to" video – built right into the product – for each major feature section. They even help you track your progress through those tutorials, until you've become fluent in the product. Their pricing is also superb: a flat $15 per seat per month. That's it. No tiers, no gimmicks. You know instantly what you'll be paying. (They also try very hard to keep their pricing stable, as long as they can: IIRC, there's been just one modest price increase in maybe a decade?) P.S. This new upgrade is cool: the product looks and feels better, and also works a bit better, while remaining entirely familiar.

Dzianis Yatsenka
Hey! Congratulations on the launch! Tell me please can I use it in my fundraising process?
Tyler King
@dzianis_yatsenka Thanks! Yes, we actually have a lot of people who use it for fundraising (both non-profit and for-profit). Give that you're on this site, I take it you're trying to raise money from investors (as opposed to donations)? If you want to see it in action, you can go to our website (www.lessannoyingcrm.com) and click "See how it works" to get a live demo with no signup. The way I'd set this up is make a pipeline called "Investor lead" or something like that, and set up some statuses to track the different steps in the process (e.g. prospect, intro call, pitch meeting, negotiating details, committed). Then you can put all the investors in the appropriate step and see all the opportunities in one place. We're especially good for fundraising because, to be honest, we're pretty weak when it comes to automation. We're best for relationships that need to be manual, and that's normally how investor relationships work. Your relationship with each investor is unique, and we just help you track where things are at (as opposed to trying to automate your communication with them). Let me know if you have any questions!

We use this CRM in our business and LOVE it. The price is more than fair. It's a St. Louis company (and I'm a St. Louisan) and want to support local businesses. Seriously easy to program for your independent needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product, especially to small business owners!
Ahmad Ali
So cool! Congrats on the launch

Besides the amazing, simple and intuitive design, i absolutely LOVE its name! That has to be one of the best product names I've seen in, like, forever Congrats on the launch! And I wish you good luck 🍀🙌
Eunice Koo
Thanks @andrei_costea2! Our name definitely gets some polarizing responses -- some folks call us *just* to tell us they hate our name, and other people will write long emails letting us know that our name is the main reason they signed up 😂 We love it!

Congrats on the launch @tyler_king1.
Kandice Gunn
Love this CRM! Especially the cleaner brighter dashboard. I am a new user but have appreciated the ease and simplicity compared to many many complicated and expensive CRMs out there. As a virtual assistant I need a platform that can handle several calendars and multiple contacts. As I get more familiar with LACRM I only love it more!
Tyler King
@kandice_gunn Thanks! I'm glad to hear it's working well, and I hope you're not shy about using our support if you run into any questions.
Calum Smith
I have no clue what other companies look for in a CRM, but every time I looked at this, or using the likes of Wired contact, maximiser, salesforce they are just overly complicated for me and to adjust anything required an IT person to talk to me over the phone and expect me to understand what I'm doing. With Less Annoying, it was simple, I can change things easily with out any help or very little, as it is that straight forward. I can makes this a simple or as complicated as I like, hide tabs or remove them and on top of this its really cost effective compared to the others. The online tuition is great for staff training and the plugins and integrations work well. I would highly recommend
Tyler King
@calum_smith_lanier Thanks, I'm really happy to hear LACRM is working out for you! You just described exactly what we were hoping to achieve 14 years ago when we first started.
Adlane Fellah
I love less annoying because it is less annoying than other CRMs. It is simple to use and very affordable. I highly recommend for very small businesses like mine! It has excellent customer service for any issues.
Tyler King
@adlane_fellah Thanks for being such a strong supporter for all these years.
elizabeth sarkisian
I’ve used LACRM for many years now. I love it’s simplicity and efficiency for all of my needs. And there are actual people you can call for assistance - they pick up the phone and answer my questions. That kind of customer service is unheard of and is invaluable to me.
Tyler King
@esarkisian I'm glad to hear you've had a great experience with the customer service. Feedback like this keeps us going!
John Riley
I've used LACRM for a number of years it's far and away the best app in my tool box. I live in this app and the new version is fantastic. Thanks Tyler!
Tyler King
@john_riley1 Thanks so much, I love to hear that! "I live in this app" <- That's so motivating for us. I know that when you leave an app open all day, every little detail matters. I know we're not perfect yet, but we have a lot of ideas on how to keep improving bit by bit.
Matthew Esh
I love how easy LACRM is to use.
Michael Koper
I'm not a customer, but recently I made a LACRM integration with their new API. All I can say is that their support is really top-notch. They were really helpful and open to feedback. Just by talking with many of them, you can see that the company's culture is great. It is great to talk to people who can actually help you instead of some tier 1 support person.
Tyler King
@michaelkoper Thanks Michael, that means a lot! Even though we're a tech company, support has always been out main point of pride. I'll definitely share this with the team!
