I'm super excited to finally be launching Layers on Product Hunt! 🚀 Layers started out as a passion project of mine after seeing so many designers dissatisfied with existing design platforms. Realising that I too had given up on these platforms I decided to build my own. It's a dream working on Layers and I've already made so many meaningful relationships that I already consider it a success. But if I was to have a goal for Layers, it would be for the members to own it and the code to be open-source (or at least open to the members). A community platform truly owned by the community I feel has much higher chance of thriving than one that isn't. We've been in private beta for a while and since then we've: 🌎 Grown the community to over 20k members. ⛴️ Shipped a tonne of features like: attachments, scheduling, analytics, teams, messaging and more. 🚀 Launched a premium subscription called Layers Plus! 🎧 Started a podcast called Overlay! 💬 Grown an active Discord server. I've been lucky to use Layers since it's inception and @liampmccabe has built a fantastic platform. Since Dribbble and the rebranding of our favourite bird site, there's been a real need for a great social design platform – and Liam's built it ❤️ His passion and talent for design is remarkable! Layers is a beautiful place to share your portfolio, gain feedback and motivate others as well as getting inspiration for new ideas. And that's just the start with Teams, Job board and a new Color palette feature. Congratulations on the launch Liam, so well deserved 🥳🎊

Congrats on the launch @liampmccabe! Even today is a special day both for us lol, but I would love to say really happy to see Layers is on Product Hunt. As a designer who spent nearly a decade on the design platform I think the torch has been handed over from dribbble to the hands of Layers. I believe everyone misses the days at dribbble. At the same time, dribbble has also witnessed the growth of many designers, even if it begins to decline. But at the same time, I am very happy that the emergence of Layers has given designers a better platform to showcase their works. Layers is worth it. Today is a special day! Congrats!
