Well, this is lovable and looks like Upcoming 'Ship' page of ProductHunt. I have enrolled it as one of the beta tester and enjoying everybit of it. Congratulations Team. :)
Jiaqi Pan
@niteshmanav thanks, Nitesh! Upcoming pages are absolutely great, we have been using it ourselves! It has inspired us in many ways to design the conversational experiences :) Also quick shout out to @nickabouzeid from PH team for his constant help :)

This looks super dope — a very easy way to make your site conversational using templates and a slick-looking flow editor.
Jiaqi Pan
@chrismessina thanks for the comment! It´s an honor hearing such great feedback from you :) We will keep working hard to improve the UX of landbot 💪

I truly believe in the direction landbot is heading, enabling makers to utilise a bot without having to chose a platform is powerful. Using Landbot as a landing page will increase conversion as users will be guided by the bot through the customer journey. I am working on a product build with landbot, i cant wait to share it with the product hunt community soon. #Landbot1.0

Pros:

Amazing product :) looks good and easy to use

Cons:

Integration is not easy, but i am sure the team is busy building a simple process for integration within Landbot.I have faith in the team :)

Thank you so much for your review Ali, it really means a lot! We'll build an amazing landbot together and you're going to crush it! đź’Ş

Amazing product. Just got done playing with it and can see a ton of value! Love the builder. Looking forward to experimenting more and seeing how it works once implemented. Really impressed by the UI. I feel like the sky is the limit as this product develops. Well done, team! Any plans to automate any aspects of the build process? It's great that it's so flexible, but might be tedious for folks building several. I did notice several typos and errors on your website. Nothing too terrible, but they could take away from your credibility and turn some people off. Not a big deal and an easy fix, but one worth looking into.
Jiaqi Pan
Hi @jeff_osborn! Thank you so much for the incredible feedback! Regarding the typos, as we are not native English speaker, they are something difficult to avoid. Could you mention us which typos have you find so we can fix them asap?
Jeff Osborn
@jiaqip Totally understand! I read really slow so finding this stuff is my super power/curse. Can you email me at jeff@yourworkethic.com? It will be easier to send them to you over email.

Design-wise: on Mobile browser, it was jumpy and hard to follow the conversation. (JARRING) When adding a new message, please consider animation to (1) show me where to look and (2) I can follow the conversation. Content-wise: I’m unsure what the demo is showing me; there’s no resolution — I was left hanging, and there were no options to “click”. Maybe it’s a network error? I would LOVE to use this on our site, but unsure how it works. (10 minutes of tests) ... reloading gets me two more questions, then a huge pause, then a SPACE appeared that I could type into, but unsure what it is (screenshot http://yum.sqr.fr/hFEshQp )
Jiaqi Pan
@pixelmelter thanks for the incredible feedback!! Regarding the mobile experience, we do need indeed to improve it a little bit. Your thoughts have been really helpful, did you also have the chance to try out the desktop version?
Alan Houser
@jiaqip Getting to the desktop version now. Was there a glitch earlier today (that caused nothing to work?)
Alan Houser
@jiaqip Not working (screenshot http://yum.sqr.fr/7631dfX ) ... a different error on a different page: http://yum.sqr.fr/FFjtEgR
Jiaqi Pan
Hi @pixelmelter, sorry for the error! It seems that Product Hunt has taken down our server... We are solving it as we are speaking right now.

My experience so far

Sign up & onboarding

- A sign up form would have been fine. I know it's trying to showcase the bot, but a form is much more efficient and in this case the UX was hindered.

- Had to cycle through several usernames that were already taken. Don't seem to be used for a subdomain. Unclear why unique username required?

- No way to relaunch the "onboarding wizard"

Will update when I've worked with the actual product.

Pros:

UI looks cool

Cons:

Loving it! Having problems with the live chat behind my website's nav though: Any ideas? Also, how do I disable the 'sharing' at the end of the chat?
Jiaqi Pan
@thiagoafram Hi there! Thanks for the comment :) Could you share more details about the issue with me on email? jiaqi@landbot.io On the other hand, to disable the "sharing" feature you would need to upgrade to a premium account.

Hello hunters đź‘‹ This is Jiaqi CEO & Co-founder of Landbot.io. Our last launch was four months ago when we first introduced Landbot to the public. We never thought all the attention and interest we would get with the very first version of the product. It caught us by surprise, we felt fortunate but at the same time worried about the state of Landbot at that moment. Then our worst worries became true; many hunters told us that the idea was cool but the product was choppy and we undercooked the execution. Once we realized our big mistake, the team immediately took action: we change the product to beta and put a waitlist to avoid burning new users. Meanwhile, the dev team started to rebuild the whole platform from scratch. We took incredible feedbacks from users who despite the bad UX of our platform was bearing with us and helped us to find all potential usability issues. Today, after hundreds of cups of coffees and sleepless nights working on the new version of the platform, I am very proud to present you: Landbot 1.0 We intentionally call it 1.0, because for us this will be the actual starting point to bring value to our users by helping them to build great conversational experiences. We can group most critical changes mainly into three groups: -Frictionless experience for final users: New landbot interface and animations. Returning visitor recognition. Improved navigability with Menu button. -Easy bot building process: Template system Optimized chatbot builder. Real-time design editor. Multiple embedding formats. -Effortless lead managing tools: API Integrations Notifications system Human take over New Analyze section Finally, I'd like to thank our existing users for their support and feedbacks. I can't stress enough to say that Landbot 1.0 is only the start, so I would immensely appreciate the PH community to give us another chance. Help us to humanize websites by turning it into beautiful conversational experiences. We are eager to hear all your feedback about the new version!
Gary Tokman
Congrats on the launch! Do people actually prefer this over a normal landing page? And have you guys A/B tested this vs. landing page to see if you got more conversions?
Jiaqi Pan
@garytokman great question! We have been doing extensive A/B test on both our own landbot and from our users. We are seeing a significant increase of lead conversion rate up to 200% in some cases. On the other hand, many landbot users have reported us great feedback from their customers when interacting with a conversational page. Finally, we understand that not everybody is prepared to go full conversational like we did, therefore we have been working to make landbot very easy to integrate with conventional UI websites. You can see examples on our own website: https://landbot.io/producthunt and here http://sostieni.weworld.it/test_...
Aaron Cohn
We recently used Launchbot for our own PH launch landing page a few weeks back. https://www.vervoe.com/expertsco... -- helped us really be successful, and collect a whole bunch of leads (with a really high conversion rate). Product came a loooooong way since the original version, which I also played around with when building. V 1.0 was infinitely easier to use. @Jiaqip -- only feedback would be to perhaps make it easier to connect landbots to domain names? For Entrepreneur friends who want to buy a domain and spin up a quick landing page, I usually refer them to Squarespace or Strikingly, but it should really be landbot when it comes to testing ideas. One-click connects to domains bought on Google/GoDaddy/Namecheap would be amazing. Keep up the good stuff!
Jiaqi Pan
@aaron_cohn Thanks for the amazing feedback! Always great to know real use cases of landbot from our users 🙂 Regarding the hosting option, we will keep an eye on it and see what can we do :)
Anthony Zhang
This is great! Dislike how much time it takes for it to respond though. Do you have any plans to make it faster?
Jiaqi Pan
@anthonyjz17 great question! The response time is a little tricky to fit for everyone, we have been testing different times and have received feedback on both ends: too slow or too fast. We have even thought to let the user decide the time. However, we also want to keep the simplicity of the building process and avoid to force user make too many decision. Right now the response time per message is around 1-2s. We will keep iterate it to find the optimal timing 🙂
Cesc Vilanova
Congrats guys! We want to use Landbot.io to create a demo of our app based chatbot in our website. Can't wait to try it ;)
Jiaqi Pan
@cesc_vilanova thanks! I would definitely recommend you this post about native chatbot development. https://chatbotsmagazine.com/the...
Danny Florian
@jiaqip might want to test for mobile a bit more. I kept seeing the bot response with an error message before it displayed the actual intended message. Good improvements though!
Jiaqi Pan
@dnyflorian thanks for the feedback! Could you share a little bit more info about the issue. We will look into it right away!
Jiaqi Pan
@davieball Thanks for the feedback, we have just made a quick fix. Could you check if the issue has been solved?

The teams here in my company already consider moving from typeform and use landbot for all internal and external forms. I also gave it as a recruitment exercise, so cool.

Also, what if you let us remove the landbot trademark for $1? I know your logo give you exposure but having my credit card can help you easier moving me from basic package to a pay package...I mean just a thought, I might be wrong...

Pros:

Love the overall user experience, it's friendly, straight forward and I saw direct results using it for lead gen.

Cons:

Well, really did not have any frustrations...for real! Even had a call from the CEO Jaiqi to share my experience.

Yamini Kagal

This is not what it was designed for, but I'm even using Landbot to mock up the flow for non web-based chatbots. It's so easy to throw on a page and walk through with clients.

Pros:

Very easy to use. The new UI is even nicer. I had a bot up and running within 30 mins of signing up. Responsive team.

Cons:

I'd like to see some more integrations, but that's only a matter of time.

Johny Miric
Pretty neat. I was using Drift for few months, and when I saw this, got really interested. One problem though, it bothers me that chat doesn't pop up after few seconds, like Drift does, to catch users attention, it makes a huge difference.
Jiaqi Pan
@johnyqi thanks for the great insight! Landbot has a lot to improve with "live chat" mode. Right now it works better as a full website like this one: http://18coffees.com/ or as widget integrated into your web like this one: http://sostieni.weworld.it/test_... That being said we are starting to work more on the live chat mode. It would be really awesome if we could share with you some early designs and get your feedback :)
Johny Miric
@jiaqip hi, I would be happy to help, with few tweaks I might even switch from Drift to Landbot. Those full-screen pages are really beautiful, one can do so much with such simple concept.
Jiaqi Pan
@johnyqi great please send me an email to jiaqi@landbot.io :)

I'm one of those who tried the early release of Landbot (pre-1.0) and wasn't too happy because it was quirky and broke down easily. However, with 1.0 the team really managed to get me from skeptical to supportive - the product is MUCH easier to use now and works like a charm. We got some strong leads already from our conversational landing page powered by Landbot, and can't wait to share the actual product (which is itself conversational as well) behind the landing page with the PH community - once it's done!
Jiaqi Pan
@double_u_d so glad you did give us a second chance! Landbot 1.0 is the starting point for us to really bring value to users and help them build great conversational experiences. Would love to review your landbot if you get some feedback :)
Maksim Abramchuk
I've used a previous version of Landbot, but it's a new level! World is tired from all these boring landing pages, time for conversational landing to take off. Keep rocking, guys, I love the product, my next landing will be conversational :)
Jiaqi Pan
@maximabramchuk really appreciate the nice comment! We still have a long way to go, that´s why we called this version of Landbot 1.0 :)
Jeremy Zykorie
I think this is a great concept and product... That said, as an end user, I find it to be kind of annoying. It feels like the conversations go too slow, and the examples you provided (18coffees)... I personally feel like I'd rather just see a landing page. I think someone else asked about the option to "close" the window, and I guess you can get that in a pro plan... it's something I tried to do multiple times. I can definitely see in the right use case how this can be very value add, collecting emails, pointing people in the right direction, etc. I just was personally annoyed with all the examples asking for my name, asking for my email, etc... when I just want a landing page to quickly figure out the product. Another thing, even in response to the simplest options... like when I just have one option to push which is "Hey", there is still a delay with the fake dot.dot.dot of someone typing back. I don't suspect most end users are incapable of understanding this is a bot... it's pretty obvious. I get the dot.dot.dot gives the [fake] feel of an actual conversation... but to me it was just more waiting. It felt more like a waiting hourglass. Sure, we're only talking about a couple of seconds... but the response should be instantaneous.
Jiaqi Pan
@jeremyz123 Great feedback! I think you have some valid point about not asking user info upfront. We should always provide value first and only when the user is interested ask info in return. Regarding the pause issue you mentioned, we have done extensive research and this is actually one positive point for engaging final users. It may sound counterintuitive but we find out conversion rates are much higher when using typing stats than not using it. We do offer companies the possibility to disable typing if they prefer that way. Would love to hear more feedback if you decide to give Landbot a chance :=)
Frank
Nice job here, guys, just created an account, can’t wait to see how this really affects lead generation. Which other use cases are the most common for these conversational webs?
Jiaqi Pan
@fran007 really appreciate the comment! The best use case we have seen so far is without doubt lead generation. On the other hand, many users have found landbot useful for product onboarding and customer surveys. We are still in early days, so would love to see how people can use Landbot in creative ways :)
