Hello Hunters! It is blissful to be here again. My name is Jay, and I am the Co-Founder of LambdaTest. As promised in our previous featuring, we are glad to announce our first product update as we move one step closer to delivering our audience with a complete testing ecosystem. Today we prepared something extraordinary for you all. LambdaTest Chrome Extension allows you to capture full-page screenshots as you surf through the internet. LambdaTest Screenshots will help to increase your productivity, ease your research and testing experience. To make browser compatibility testing of web apps and websites a little bit easier and faster, we decided to launch the LambdaTest cross-browser testing screenshot plugin to Chrome marketplace. We built it keeping three things in mind: it had to be easy to use, had to offer a wide range of major browsers, and browser library has to be up-to-date with the latest browsers. Here’s the step-by-step guide: 1. Visit LambdaTest Screenshots on Chrome Web Store by this link - http://bit.ly/2IMDlmZ 2. Add the extension to your Chrome browser by clicking on "Add to Chrome". 3. Signup for a free LambdaTest account at https://accounts.lambdatest.com/... 4. Upon verification of the email address go to Profile page at https://accounts.lambdatest.com/... 5. Copy the Access Key from the profile page and use the same to activate this extension. It may look a complicated setup. Although, It isn't! It will take less than 2 minutes to configure it all & you will end up saving hundreds of hours effort. It is a promising return on time invested. With LambdaTest Screenshots you can capture up to 25 screenshots in one test session. You can perform up to 10 screenshot sessions every month using our freemium plan. We are offering a 35% exclusive discount for product hunt users on our monthly listed price if you opt for an annual subscription. Use coupon code PH35 while upgrading to avail the same. By a free sign up you can perform a lot more than screenshot testing. Here are some of the major highlights of the features that we provide in our product: → 2000+ browser and browser versions where can you test your web-apps. → Real-time interactive testing → Automated Responsive testing to perform Visual UI testing. → Smart UI Testing wherein you can compare image to image and identify visual deviations. → Single click bug logging to help you log a bug from screenshots with only a single click. → Inbuilt issue tracker which directly allows you to integrate your bug to JIRA, Slack, Asana, Trello, GitHub, Gitlab, VSTS, Bitbucket, Google Meet or emails. → Testing of the websites hosted on local and private servers using SSH tunnel. → Wordpress plugin for taking full-page automated screenshots. We provide access to all our features in our freemium plan. The only difference between our freemium and premium plan lies in the amount of consumption. As a premium user, you can perform unlimited testing for all the features on our product. We envision LambdaTest as a platform that can fulfil all the needs of the testing community. We are continuously growing to facilitate a complete testing ecosystem. Thanks to our customers’ valuable feedbacks and suggestions. They have acted as pillars for making our cloud-based platform more robust. Hope you like our latest addition. Feel free to comment about what attracted you the most and where you feel we can do better as we are soon going to deliver a WordPress plugin offering the same service to comfort the testing experience for WordPress specific audience. We will be grateful as your valuable input will help us to improve further. P.S - Thank you for reading, upvoting and all the support we have received so far. We have a ton of awesome updates coming up as we endeavour to deliver a complete testing ecosystem on the cloud and we can’t wait to share them with you soon. Stay tuned for more!

I liked the UI, its neat. We are going to use more and more in future. I have a quick question here - you can push issues directly to your bug tracking tool from the platform, which is very helpful, however, the very same thing is not possible form chrome extension. Is this something planned in near future?
Jay Singh
Hey @josephsmith52 , that's a very good idea actually. We have this feature on LambdaTest platform but we still have to bring this to the Chrome extension. Now we have something to bring in version 2.0 of the product 😉 But all screenshots test session taken via chrome extension can also be accessed via the main platform and from there you can mark them and add them in your product management tool right now. Let me know if this works for you. 😄
Suresh Chowdhary
I am a Product Manager and when I encounter some random bugs I sometimes find it really difficult to explain so I was wondering if i could make videos on your platform and share them with my team? @jay_0687
Jay Singh
@sureshchowdhary Thanks for the question Suresh. Yes, we have a video recording feature on our platform where you can record videos while testing in real time. You can download and share the videos. Also, we have screenshots sharing as well where other people can also access the screenshots. We are trying to make our platform more flexible for our users. If you have inputs for us as well, we will be happy to take them into account. Happy Testing. 😄
Suresh Chowdhary
Well @jay_0687 this is just what I was expecting. You guys are doing a great job out there, sure you will make it big!
Karuna Jaswal
Do you have other extensions as well? I use Wordpress for website development. Is there any way I can make it handy just like chrome extension? @jay_0687
Jay Singh
@karunajaswal Hi Karuna. Thanks for the question. Yes, we are constantly evolving into all the integration fields with the constant feedback from our users. We have WordPress integration as well in which you can take direct multi browser screenshots from your WordPress dashboard. This can be done from the post editor, Dashbaord, viewer. You can also refer to https://www.lambdatest.com/wordp... for more information.
Karuna Jaswal
Sure @jay_0687 I'll take a look into it and your product is really amazing, I'am thinking of coming onboard.
Vrindha Nair
It worked awesome for me. However, I cannot take screenshot of under development pages. Is it possible to do it?
Jay Singh
@vrindhanair thanks for checking out LambdaTest screenshot extension. Again, we have this feature in our primary web platform, however we still have to bring this to chrome extension. You can take full paged screenshot of your locally hosted or privately hosted pages from LambdaTest platform's screenshot feature. For this you would have to connect your system with LambdaTest servers via SSH protocol based tunnel. We have a easy to use binary application for this called Lambda Tunnel. Checkout this page https://www.lambdatest.com/autom... Let me know if this worked for you 😄

Gurman Kansal
I like the way you are emailing me on every test completion, is there any way that I get these notifications in slack too? Something like using slack bot? 😃
Vrindha Nair
@gurmankansal Yeah! We also need something like that. @jay_0687 Do you have it?
Lakshmiva Sundevan
Same with me, I want the bugs that I am pushing to JIRA using LambdaTest in slack, can this be done? @jay_0687
Jay Singh
@gurmankansal Thanks for the motivating words. @vrindhanair @gurmankansal Yes, we are in development for a solution in which users can get notifications to their slack after completion of every test. Also, we are working upon a bot in which you can directly take screenshots from Slack itself. We are hoping that it'd be beneficial for our users. Thanks a lot!
Jay Singh
@lakshmivasundevan Yes, we provide JIRA integration as well in which you can move your bugs direcctly to JIRA from LambdaTest. I'll be happy to elaborate more. Thanks for asking!
Bipasha Jaswal
We use Trello for as our project management tool and would like to keep using it. Can I push bugs from LambdaTest to Trello? @jay_0687
Jay Singh

vimal gopal

The product looks really good and build well to scale but I am really worried about the reviews ,it seems to be fake and made up .Both reviews and users!

Pros:

Great extension for every developer

Cons:

-Nil so far

Han Solo
They ask your email and phone number to sign up. Without that you can't use the extension. Those guys think they're Google or something ? Now way I give this kind of info for a chrome extension. Never seen that before. Definitely sounds shady.
Sonali Thapa
Hey I am a freelancer having a short-term project, is there a plan for me where i can use the product for a few days?

Very Handy tool for testing responsiveness

Manjiri Gundala
Where did you get inspiration for this chrome extension? This is awesome. 😃
Jay Singh
@manjirigundala Thanks Manjiri. A lot of things inspired us to develop this chrome extension. The major thing was the stats that we get. We found out since most of the developers use Chrome as their native browse, so developing something in which they can directly test from their chrome browser will help them easily perform cross browser testing. So, ease their efforts we thought of building a chrome extension. Let me know if you're interested in learning more. I'd be happy to elaborate.
Ankit Rana
Do I need to have a LambdaTest account to use this extension? 😉
Jay Singh
@ankitrana20 Hey Ankit. Thanks for showing interest in LambdaTest Chrome Extension. Yes, it is mandatory to have a LambdaTest account in order to use chrome extension but it is absolutely free to create an account 😃 . You can manage your test logs, issues for screenshots taken using Chrome Extension using your LambdaTest account. Let me know if you need more information. I'd be happy to help. 😄
