Ladder is a personalized wellness app that helps you understand how your actions, emotions, and thoughts impact your well-being. Build habits with an activity tracker, improve emotional awareness in a cognitive journal, and get actionable insights.
This looks really great. I've been trying to use Habitica, but I can't seem to stick with it for whatever reason. I'd love to give this a shot, but I'm rocking a Galaxy Note 10+
Any thoughts on timing for the Android release?
@betterproductco Hi Andrew! An Android release is certainly at the top of our list on priorities as soon as we finalize our iOS platform. This was a major discussion point (as it always is when building for mobile) in terms of deciding native vs cross-platform. In order to better hone in on our users and deliver an experience that helped us do less things (and reach less people), but do them better and with more focus, we opted to go full swift-native iOS only for the initial release. In terms of timeline, the Software Engineer in me hesitates to throw out an estimate off the top of my head (we're often wrong, like, a lot, around timeline estimations). Please do sign up for our newsletter on our website to be notified when the Android version is released though :).
@betterproductco The demand for an Android version from our community is pretty large. Hopefully we'll be able to get that started soon. As Thuc mentioned, we want to get this right first!
Hey Product Hunt! 👋🏻
Big shout out and thanks to @benln for hunting us!
A quick intro on Ladder:
Our mission started with our own mental wellness journeys, as we struggled to find relevant solutions that worked for us. Ladder was first built for ourselves, but we quickly realized we were not alone.
Our team spent months talking to psychologists, researchers, and most importantly, those who were struggling with their mental health to understand what we could do help. We're a very community-driven team. After all, they are the people we're building this for.
We found that people were often juggling different treatments, mindfulness apps, and other various health trackers to figure out what's effective. Still, most felt that they were unable to answer the questions:
"How do the things I do impact my well-being?" and "What can I do about it?"
Ladder was built to answer these questions. Our goal is to help people foster more self-efficacy and advocacy to live healthier lives. Ladder focuses on the relationships between our actions, thoughts, and emotions to support long-term behavioral change.
It was designed to both be used as a standalone solution, or as a complementary tool for those working with a mental health professional.
With Ladder, you can:
Build healthier habits
- Set health goals and track behaviors
- Stay on task with a daily planner and mindful reminders
Develop emotional awareness
- Track mood levels and reflect with a digital journal
- Label your emotions to work through cognitive patterns
Discover what matters to you
- Understand what's supporting your well-being and what isn't
- Get wellness reports and actionable insights powered by data
Access our content library
- Soundscapes and binaural engineered for your mind
In the coming weeks, we're collaborating with BIPOC mental health professionals to release a library of guided courses and meditations. We want to make Ladder as accessible as possible, and part of that is fostering more diversity in a space that is severely lacking.

I’ve been looking for an app just like this. Love how it brings everything together into one. Makes my life more simple, great job!! Will try out and report back.
@dorculas Thanks man. One of the things our users love most is being able to connect everything and reduce the amount of apps/tools they use. Looking forward to it!
I'm so proud of our team! I'm obviously biased but our app has helped me keep myself accountable in maintaining healthy habits. I love that Ladder makes me prioritize self-care and really check-in with myself.
It's been extremely helpful reading everyone's feedback and I can't wait to read what everyone else has to say.
I’ve been using Ladder for a few months now and I love it! In the midst of all the craziness, it can be hard to remember to do things for yourself. This app really holds me accountable and ensures that I’m doing the small things to make my life better, such as stretching, meal planning, drinking water, and meditating. The analytics are great, as I can see which habits are affecting my mood the most. Overall, this is a great app and I’m so excited to have found it. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to put themselves first and build better habits.
@realdesigntack Man. That means so much. Some backstory:
Before building Ladder, I had ZERO UI/UX experience and am in no form a designer. I spent about 45 days learning how to use prototyping software as fast as I could when we started. We still don't have a professional designer. I know we still have A LOT of room for improvement, but I appreciate it!
This is a great app, being able to track different habits I’ve been able to help myself actually get to bed at a decent times more often than not - a work in progress here along with making exercise 3 days a week something that is an actual habit now. I look forward to turning many more things into habits. Tracking how I'm feeling with journaling has helped tremendously because I can see where I'm doing good and where I need improvement and not just see things checked off that I've done.
@ttureson Thank Tracy! Love that you're making progress. You touched on it perfectly. Rather than just track habits, it's important to link them to our emotional health.
This app is phenomenal. I absolutely recommend it to everyone. Everyone has a lot on their plates, and it's extremely easy to get overwhelmed.
The past year and some change have been (to say the least) hard emotionally, and physically. The more I used Ladder, the more I was able to be conscious of how certain things affected me, and how much I allowed for these things, whether good or bad, to affect me. Ladder helps you break down your anxiety and stress into a simple to-do list to make it manageable and make you more productive. Creating tasks and asking, "How are you feeling today?" sounds simple, but I can promise you it works.
So glad this app exists.
Ive been using the beta for the past few months and highly recommend. Can’t wait to see how this progresses . Love what they stand for and love that they recently launched with trading donations to non profit organizations for memberships ✊🏽
UI is sick. Idea is original and innovative. Hard to find pain points in this app.
I think a good thing to keep in mind, is keeping your users active on the app. Perhaps customize ways to attract users back (if they are inactive) with push notifications targeted at their prescriptive behavior?
Well done!
@kyle_thomas2 that’s a good point. It’s actually one of the things we’re looking to improve. I agree that contextual notifications are great ways to help users stay on track. We’re looking to create these based off user behavior/inputs as you mentioned. Thanks for the feedback!
Definitely appreciate what the team at Ladder has done by creating an easy to use app to tackle a part of our lives we often seem to not pay much attention to. The interface is clean and the explore page is such a valuable functionality. Soundscapes have got to be my favorite part!
As a person that loves to journal daily (and losing pens doing so), I have been looking into finding a digital platform to track my mood and habits. Ladder has made it easier for me to do so! This app is simple and direct, and makes it incredible easy to input my goals. So far I have tackled on what I needed to work on the most, my sleeping schedule and caffeine intake (bubble tea is just too good!)
Since I am shifting back into work, it is difficult for me to adjust into a working environment. Ladder has helped motivate me by allowing me to track my progress and my daily reminders around my schedule. This ensures that I actually wake up motivated.
I also really love the cute emoticons ha.
@dewyski I know how you feel about shifting back into work and I'm glad it's been helping you stay on track/motivated. That's one of the things I use it for myself! Thanks for the feedback :)
