The idea to create a tool like Kleptofinder came to us one day, when we saw a t-shirt being sold online with our own drawing on it. We couldn’t believe it, so we contacted the owner of the shop, who didn’t even bother denying that he took our intellectual property right off our Instagram page.
One by one, we checked all the pictures of our drawings, to find out if they were stolen. Sure enough, we found many instances of our property being used without our permission.
We were happy that we found out about it, but angry about the immense time we had to spend checking every picture manually.
This is where we have decided that this process simply has to be automated.
We have decided to build a new kind of tool – an AI that is able to work automatically, recognize pictures independently, and layout clear results.
