Hey Product Hunters! About a year ago I made a bookmarking service for designers. After collecting almost 800 designs with it, I decided it could be pretty cool to extract colors from the screenshots and generate palettes 🌈. So I built this site called Colors which shows you palettes and allows you to check them out in action as well. Most of the palettes turned out pretty great and some are a bit funky πŸ™ˆ. Looking forward to hear your thoughts about it 😊.

@drikerf it definitely looks cool. Yes some color palettes seems like they are designed by the hippies, funky 70s colors. I make digital portraits (@shikeb on Instagram) and some time I really need inspiration for colors. It is definitely going to help me in that. :)

@shikeb Awesome! Thanks 😊

Loved the simple UX. shortcut key for shuffling color schemes and the collection itself.

I have used https://coolors.co/ for some time and comparatively this one lacks some features like adjusting colors in a palette, exporting a color palette in various formats, generating a color palette from an image (quite useful for instagram users).

Pros:

Beautiful, simple UX with mindblowing collection of color palettes

Cons:

Can use some more features

I think this may even be helpful for a amateur people in home design.

Very cool since it's backed by real data. You've really found a nice use case for Pixels. I love how you've combined the two products.

I am in a team that is working on visual standards and color palettes seem to be a very subjective issue. Hope this will solve. Though it is written data driven, but i don't know how much data is being used at the backend to create these combinations.

Pros:

exhaustive list

Cons:

no search feature
