We're very excited to launch the new Kitemaker! Now even better at releasing you from micro management and the silos of traditional product development tools, supporting you with everything from organizing user feedback to shipping things people want.
Hi ProductHunt ๐
It's been a while since we last launched and Kitemaker has gone through a massive shift during that time. We completely redesigned the app. The roadmaps and initiatives are much more flexible, our todos are as as feature rich as issues in an issue tracker, and you can now organize user feedback and connect insights to your planned features.
Kitemaker is still based on the core idea of helping product development teams perform better. Our goal is to free you from the micro-management and silos of traditional product development tools, focusing on what makes teams excel. That means we're making it easy to share context and discuss, and helping everyone understand the problem they are solving and their users' needs. It's all in a fast, easy-to-use UI making organizing your development work a breeze.
We also have a ton of exciting new things in the pipeline, including all the useful AI features imaginable putting your product development workflow on autopilot. We're also making new integrations, even some for your dreaded issue trackers. So stay tuned for more updates from us!
Please check us out via the link above, and tell us about your experience!
Thank you for supporting our launch!
Hey Sigurd @kitemaker Congrats on the launch! Love the mission of ditching micromanagement that always creeps in with management tools. If I wanted to sell this to my team and convince them easily to use kite maker from what we use today. How would I do it? Do you have a website overview of the difference between kite maker, linear, GitHub, jira, etc? Thanks!
@sentry_co Thank you! And thank you for you feedback! We don't have that page right now, but we probably should make it. The typical reason for teams to chose Kitemaker over the ones you have listed is to get everything in one place to remove the silos, get everyone on the team to see the user feedback (seeing directly who asked for what in the work items are powerful), and the general idea that product teams are about collaborating on innovation and not less about only tracking tasks/issues.
I'd be happy to discuss this further with you, and will happily do demos with you or your team to explain the differences in more detail :)
@kitemaker For sure! I think a comparison table would be gold! That way we could identify areas that would fit how we work, or even how we could work better etc. And calls with you is always a pleasure! You're on my radar for this, so when we upgrade I will make an assessment if we go with linear or something like kite maker. Ill ping you in the not to distant future ๐
Your focus on user feedback as an integrated part of Kitemaker seems like a major step in the right direction for all product teams! Congrats on your launch, @kitemaker !
@kitemaker@eivindhaa Thanks Eivind! We definitely thing having feedback in the same tool as a team plans/tracks the rest of their work can have a major positive impact in the way they work.
I absolutely love that you guys are integrating user feedback natively into issues and tasks. I've tried integrations that do a similar thing but they always feel like such a bolt-on.
Congrats @kitemaker team, I'm excited to try this!
P.S. Thanks for giving ToDesktop Builder a shoutout!
@kitemaker@davej Thanks Dave! We think having feedback in the same tool as the team tracks/plans the rest of their work can fundamentally change they way teams work. It's pretty awesome ๐
Hi Sigurd,
Congratulations on the massive shift and redesign of Kitemaker! It sounds like you've really honed in on streamlining the product development process. The focus on context sharing and problem-solving is crucial for efficient teamwork. I'm particularly intrigued by the upcoming AI features and integrations. How do you envision AI enhancing the product development workflow further?
Wishing you and the team much success with this launch and beyond!
@alex_dulub Thank you, Alex! Yeah, we are already seeing that AI helps product development a lot. That can be anything from converting comments or feedback to tasks, finding similar user feedback or work items, connection user feedback to the correct work items, processing feedback, creating work item from feedback and much more.
We don't see that we're automating everything in the short term unless there is another big leap in AI, technology, but there is definitely a lot already that can significantly reduce the amount of time required to manage and organize things.
Congrats @kitemaker
Amazing product, we have been using it from last 2 years.. without the doubt, the most easiest product management tool. One of the best team delivering regular and awesome update. Highly recommend.
Congrats on the launch Kitemaker team!! It's been amazing to follow your journey over the last few years and to see how the product has evolved since we first met in 2020 (๐ฑ). Congrats again!! ๐๐๐
The fastest tool I've seen for project/product mgmt. If you like speed (drafts, superhuman, shortcuts, etc.) you might enjoy Kitemaker. It's kinda like Trello in the early days: simpleand yet powerful.
Congrats on the launch! I can see many use cases of this product across all sizes of companies.
I wondered if the team is planning on building out new integrations or what the integration initiative overall looks like at the moment!
@keremkocer Thank you! ๐
We currently have integrations to Slack, Discord, Github, Gitlab, Figma, Intercom, Zapier, Vanta, and probably more I don't remember. We are usually building the integrations when there is a need, so we have a Sentry integration coming up (awaiting approval) and several other tools for collecting user feedback. So stay tunes :)
@shushant_lakhyani absolutely! It's great for small teams and we've spent a lot of time recently making it better and better for bigger teams. Our roadmaps for example are a great way to coordinate product development work across larger organizations.
Congrats @kitemaker! The MythWeaver team has loved using Kitemaker and it's really helped our team gel and focus on what matters in our backlog. Keep up the amazing work!
@austin_zurfluh Thank you! We appreciate having you as customers as well. We all think what you are building is super cool. When can we use MythWeaver for a company role playing session?
