Hey Hunters 👋 I'm Akshat, the creator of KAI KeyboardAI. Excited to finally launch Kai on Product Hunt! Here's the Problem - I've found myself reaching for ChatGPT more and more often as a brainstorming tool as well as a tool to improve my communication with coworkers, freelancers, property managers etc. However, I got annoyed constantly having to switch between apps on my phone to use ChatGPT ( previously browsers, now the official app ). Then I thought there's gotta be a better / faster way to interact with ChatGPT in my phone, right? My Solution - A keyboard that brings the capabilities of ChatGPT straight into your keyboard. KAI KeyboardAI is always available whenever you need it. Write a prompt in any input box -> Switch over to Kai -> Hit write and get 3 responses back!

Congrats on the launch. I just tried out the app and I think it’s pretty convenient to have. I work as an personal assistant so being able to convert a simple sentence into a “professional” email is a huge time saver.

Seems like I need to provide full keyboard access to the app for the keyboard to work. What kind of data is the keyboard storing in the backend?

Hey @bassara_traore , The app requires full access in the keyboard so that the keyboard can make network requests to our and open ai services. Without full access keyboards are not allowed to make http requests outside of the KAI app. Full access permission is also required for the app to view the text within the selected text input and to use the text as the prompt. We only store the prompts used to generate responses from the KAI app. Aside from that no information is stored about the user or device. It is all anonymized. Thanks for bringing up this concern. I will think more about how to display the our data and permissions usage to our users in a more transparent way.

This is awesome! English is my second language so being able to quickly translate my broken english to articulate messages is wonderful for my business. I’ve been using chatgpt for this so far but having quick access right in the keyboard is fantastic.

The thinking behind this app is genius. It works for any prompt and connects directly to chatgpt. The other apps I’ve seen that are somewhat similar are too specific in their use cases like dating. Usually I simply want to brainstorm some ideas with chatgpt and write it in my own words or style, so this is perfect. Great work Kai team!
