Hey PH community! Maurice, founder of JitBlox here - and excited to officially launch JitBlox today! I started building JitBlox in early 2020 because, as a web developer, I needed a tool to build working prototypes without having to master a design tool and without coding: a visual environment that would allow developers - and tech-savvy designers - to quickly build modern web apps using proven design systems and UI widgets. The result, 4 years later, is an easy way for teams to gather early feedback from customers using realistic prototypes, and to start their next web project with solid source code and UI components that developers are already familiar with. How does JitBlox compare to other prototyping tools? In addition to a nowadays indispensable drag-and-drop interface and real-time preview, the following features set JitBlox apart from other tools: - ✔️ Create apps using battle-tested UI libraries such as Bootstrap and Material Design, rather than relying on proprietary widgets or error-prone design to code translation. - 🧱 Build component-based apps: JitBlox encourages following best practices and organizing your apps into reusable components. - 🧰 An interactive toolbox that lets you configure, preview and insert widgets and layouts with just a few clicks. - 🔧 Property editors for easy configuration of widgets and CSS utilities, so you don't have to dig through documentation or memorize cryptic CSS classes. - 🔗 Design with realistic data thanks to built-in modeling capabilities and a mock data editor. Connect your data to your user interface and create loops and other logic - all without coding. - 🧾 Design to code? Just click the download button to download the full source code of your app, or upload to GitHub if you prefer. Why build prototypes with JitBlox instead of a coding environment? - No hassle with setting up a development environment, installing frameworks and copying and pasting bits of code from library documentation. - No need to deal with data binding or control flow syntax. - Copy, duplicate, repeat, re-order, delete or enclose your markup faster than with any HTML editor. - An integrated theme editor that helps discover and configure CSS variables. After countless hours of development and beta testing, I'm excited to launch JitBlox today, ready to expand and eager to hear your feedback. Where do you see areas for improvement? What UI libraries or frameworks (currently, JitBlox exclusively generates Angular apps) would you like to see supported in the future? Note: use the promo code for 20% discount on the Pro plan for the first year, or for the first 3 months when paying monthly.

@maurice_de_laat looks good, using bubble and flutter flow as of now. Will definitely give it a spin, all the best with coming traction going to share it with few friends as well

Thank you @annaho2000, good question! More data connectivity is on our roadmap, starting with importing OpenAPI definitions. Integration of third-party APIs would be a logical next step (this would also make it even easier to support a Jamstack approach).
Maurice de Laat
Thank you @prad_vv, and thanks for sharing! I'd love to hear how you think JitBlox compares to the other tools you are using and what gaps might need to be filled.
Maurice de Laat
Thank you @shivam_tiwari24.

Congratulations on the launch, Maurice! 🎉 JitBlox sounds like a dream tool for developers and tech-savvy designers alike. The ability to use battle-tested UI libraries like Bootstrap and Material Design is a huge advantage, ensuring robust and familiar components. The emphasis on creating reusable components, easy configuration without digging into documentation, and the mock data editor for realistic data design makes this tool incredibly powerful and user-friendly. The seamless download of full source code to GitHub is the cherry on top for efficient project transitions. I'm excited to try JitBlox and see how it can speed up my prototyping process. You've earned my upvote, and I look forward to seeing even more features and frameworks supported in the future! 🚀💻🛠️ @maurice_de_laat

Hey Maurice, congratulations on the launch of JitBlox! I have to say, this tool seems like a game-changer for web developers and designers alike. The ability to use proven UI libraries like Bootstrap and Material Design is a big win. The component-based approach and real-time preview are also fantastic features that make the development process so much smoother. The drag-and-drop interface is a must-have, but what really sets JitBlox apart is the seamless integration of realistic data and the ability to download the full source code with just one click. It's clear you've thought through the entire development lifecycle, making it easier to move from prototype to production without the usual headaches. I’m really impressed with the built-in modeling capabilities and mock data editor. This is going to save so much time and effort, especially for those who aren't keen on diving into code for every little tweak. The property editors and interactive toolbox are also brilliant additions that will make customization a breeze. Looking forward to seeing how JitBlox evolves, and I’m particularly interested in seeing more UI libraries and frameworks supported in the future. Keep up the great work, and best of luck with the launch! 🌟

Thank you @pierre_peng, great to hear you appreciate the work put into it!
Alexander William Hawkins
This looks promising, Maurice! A few quick questions though - can JitBlox export to any other frameworks apart from Angular? And does it support collaboration with team members in real-time?Anyway,congrats on the launch.
Maurice de Laat
Thank you @alexanderwilliamhawkins! JitBlox is designed to support more frameworks, but currently only generates Angular apps. What framework would you like to see supported? As for collaboration with other users, you can invite anyone to view or collaborate on a project (this is no real-time collaboration though).
Liam Patrick O'Connor
The drag-and-drop feature combined with real code output sounds perfect for quick iterations. Congrats on the launch!😀😀

Thank you @liampatrick!
Mitia
Hey Maurice. JitBlox looks like a fantastic tool for both developers and designers. Looking forward to seeing how businesses leverage this tool! Congrats for the launch and good luck!
Maurice de Laat
Hello @mitia, great to here you like it!
alexandra.kozareva
Congrats on launching JitBlox, Maurice! It looks like a fantastic tool for quickly building realistic prototypes. Love that it uses battle-tested UI libraries like Bootstrap and Material Design! How seamless is the data binding process for users? Excited to give it a try and see how it can speed up our prototyping process.
Maurice de Laat
Thanks @alexandra_describy! The process for binding data is quite straightforward, especially compared to doing the same thing in code: users can select the data source for each text block or HTML attribute from a drop-down list (given that they have created at least 1 data property to bind their data to). Have fun trying it, I'm curious what you think!

JitBlox sounds like an incredibly useful tool for developers and tech-savvy designers who want to build realistic web app prototypes quickly and efficiently. By utilizing battle-tested UI libraries like Bootstrap and Material Design, and encouraging component-based development, JitBlox takes prototyping to a whole new level. The fact that you can design with realistic data, and get full source code or upload directly to GitHub, is a huge advantage for teams looking to iterate quickly without diving into a full coding environment. The drag-and-drop interface, combined with the ease of configuring widgets and CSS utilities, makes it accessible without sacrificing the power needed for robust apps. I also love the integrated theme editor for CSS variables! I’m excited to see how JitBlox evolves and how it helps teams streamline their development process. Looking forward to feedback from other users on which libraries or frameworks they’d love to see next!

"Download your app's source code with one click." This point really impressed me. I really like it. I've already liked, followed, and supported. I've a small request: our product Quanta Quest (open-source and can be deployed locally) is also about to be released. Could I ask for your help when the time comes? Thank you, I've already followed you.
Maurice de Laat
Thank you @ethanfrostlove, I'm following Quanta Quest now 😉.
