Hi everyone, Dani from Jam here! We just launched Jam AI yesterday (producthunt.com/posts/jam-ai) and are super excited to see it's fully writing ~30% of bug reports on its first day! I'm here to answer any questions about the future of AI + coding/debugging, building AI products, reporting bugs, and on building startups in general!

@thedanigrant So stoked to have you in the AMA! Could you reveal the top 3 AI-related tools the engineering team uses at @Jam other than the incredible Jam AI? For us at PH, the first tool that come to mind are @Windsurf + @Cursor for code craft, @BAML for DevEx, and a lot of @Claude by Anthropic + @ChatGPT by OpenAI for general prompting.

@mikekerzhner great list!! For us: @GitHub Copilot for coding assistance, @promptfoo for developing prompts and running evals, and @Descript AI clips for sharing how we build Jam on the Building Jam podcast (and also a lot of @Claude by Anthropic + @ChatGPT by OpenAI for general use as well)

@thedanigrant thank you! Didn't know about @promptfoo, will check it out.

Hi @thedanigrant ! You had once shared your Jam's fundraising deck, it was incredibly helpful for us folks at @Shram. No questions from my side, just wanted to say a thanks!
Dani Grant
@shram @ojasvika_sahu that makes me so happy to hear!! So glad it was helpful. I wish more of these were shared, it's so hard for first time founders to make a deck without seeing what they look like. Here it is for anyone else's reference! Jam's first ever pitch deck from our seed round: deck.jam.dev

Congrats on the launch! What are the biggest hurdles in getting teams to adopt Jam? Seems like a no-brainer and I haven't seen anything else that does this. Are there other companies building for this specific use case? How does Jam compare? G2 says ClickUp is a competitor which seems... odd... but perhaps you're competing with internal systems that have corporate inertia?

Thank you @steveb! Ha, yeah – that's actually the biggest challenge. Before Jam, there wasn't a tool like this, so we don't really fit into any other category! At most startups, they track which product new users switched from, or which products they are evaluated against in sales. But for us, there isn't really another tool like this, our users switched from regular screen recorders or even just the default native OS screenshot tool / Quicktime. This is a blessing and a curse :) on one hand, we get to introduce people to a new way of doing things – which is awesome!! On the other, people don't even know to look for a tool like this, so we have to create awareness vs capture existing demand.
