Hey PHers! We are so excited to launch the IYO AI iOS App to the world! 🤔 What and why IYO AI? Our launch is foundational - focused on the magic of audio-first voice interaction with agents who all have their own unique personalties. We have exciting updates coming very soon as we launch our parallel company products. This is just the beginning. Today - you can dig into the app, get a full explanation from an agent and also be guided to select more from our library of 200+ agents aimed at empowering you with the magic of talking to AI. But this is not just AI characters - to me, what makes us special is your ability to talk to AI in a way that drives value for you in your digital AND physical life. We have experts, trainers, and more. 💡How to use IYO AI - Download the app in the App Store (linked in the "visit" button above!) Check it out and let me know what you think! Cheers, Suzy

I have really loved using the IYO AI iOS App! Its fun to pull up the different agents based on the situation I’m in and even better to not have to worry about putting my face in a screen to find an answer to a question that I’m curious about - I definitely prefer the ability to talk vs type. It’s also useful in longer car trips. I am able to pull up an agent that has deep knowledge in an area (for example, mixing music) and have a full conversation about the topic - asking all the curious questions I have had in my mind for some time as I learn the new skill. Excited to see what features / functionality come next from this team! Great initial launch!
Suzy Bureau
@pedro_c Thank you for the callouts, Pedro! We also love the app in car trips. My favorite agents on my drives are Suzy GPT (a Product expert - a bit uncanny and funny, haha), DialogueDesign, Software Stacey and Spatial Audio Expert. They help me work through whatever different challenges and opportunities I'm having with our work.

Looking forward to following how this app evolves. One agent application I'm most looking forward to is live translation so that I can speak with my family and friends in their non-English native languages without having to look at a screen for translation help.
Suzy Bureau
@lauren26 We’re looking forward to the evolution too! Translation agents are coming very soon. Be on the lookout for new and exciting ways to learn languages or communicate more generally!

goated product, the next dribbble in my eyes - really loving the community that is growing at the moment. IYO AI
Suzy Bureau
@wong_levene Thanks, Levene! There is absolutely a large community growing around AI and it's only getting larger every day. It's not yet fully obvious, but the IYO AI App is actually also community driven! The 200+ agents you can choose from in the app were created by a group of individuals within another IYO product - the IYO Developer Studio. That program is currently Beta & invite-only, but developers use the product to create and curate their own LLM-based agents. For example, Jarvis and Buffy were community-created agents!
sam avery
@wong_levene Thanks! Great to hear since we used dribbble for some inspiration too!

I can't sign in 😭 It says "Unable to generate sign in code. Please contact support bla bla bla"
Suzy Bureau
@thibault_mundele Strange! Apologies for the difficulties! I can't quite find your name in our system, so I wonder if there was an issue with signup. That said - I went ahead and pulled in anyone who was on our waitlist. I'm happy to work with you to get you what you need! My email is suzy@iyo.dev if you want to connect directly.

Had so much fun playing around with the agents who act as therapists. Sometimes you just need someone to vent out to and give you a different perspective on things. The agents in this app were surprisingly adept at providing insightful responses and guiding me through my thoughts and emotions. It felt like having a genuine conversation with a supportive friend. The interface was user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through different topics and prompts. Overall, a great tool for anyone looking for a bit of virtual therapy and a fresh outlook on their challenges. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Suzy Bureau
@aidana_daulbayeva2 I'm glad you were able to find support there - that's our goal! Ms. Reframe has helped me personally reframe a lot of situations I was in to help me see the best. If you have thoughts or ideas for how we might iterate on these types of agents in particular, we would love to act on them! Message me or feedback@iyo.audio!

@gargtoshit Thanks, Toshit! We are quite excited to be empowering via the tip of the finger, but also - voice!

@gargtoshit Great to hear - like Suzy says, we have some awesome updates coming to make it all at the tip of your tongue instead :)

So excited to see this launch! A ton of hard work and much more to come in the future. We're also thrilled to have such great involvement from the community so far in terms of providing feedback. Keep it coming and we can't wait to share what's next!
Suzy Bureau
@jamespaulmuir Completely agree! Looking forward to the continued feedback so we can make this app even better for our users ¨̮ .
Lee Azzarello
@jamespaulmuir the community wouldn't be here without your talents bringing IYO AI to life! 🤩

I've talked with Einstein about how to develop reliable software, identified international spies on long commutes, and even threatened to sue a "doctor" who gave me bogus advice after I swallowed a cow. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do, and we'd love to hear your feedback!
Suzy Bureau
@sam_avery1 lol - love it! Was identifying international spies using the RAD Daddy agent? He's very intense about his duties!
sam avery
@suzybureau Yeah exactly! And Axel is fun to talk with for riddles and brain teasers

IYO AI is a great app! So excited to have it released. Check out some of the celebrity impersonators. Personally, I'm fond of the Martha Stewart agent. The library is big, so dig deep.
Suzy Bureau
@lazzarello The library is so big and so deep - we're at 200+ agents right now and we have users launching more every day! I think the last week has seen 10+ agents added every day. It's exciting to see the users of the IYO Developer Studio playing with the capabilities and launching new, unique agents!

I'm getting some good laughs out of this app! I plopped the Game of 20 Questions agent in front of some kids at a get together and it was fun watching them argue with one another over what question to ask next. My wife and I had fun using the D&D Dungeon Master to pass time on a long road trip. While obviously much simpler than the real thing, it captures the essence of D&D and is perfect for using in a car. It has a setup phase at the beginning to name who is playing in the party and what they want as their class/character. You can have each person give their own verbal responses when asked which route/action to take during their turn, which results in some hilarious chaos in where it ends up taking you. I see a lot of potential here!
Suzy Bureau
@blinthicum Love the use cases you’re using it for, Bryan!
sam avery
@blinthicum I second the Dungeon Master! There was a car crash on my way home once and it took me 2 hrs 30 mins - I had a few epic D&D games that made it bearable

Already the product is valuable with Mr. Wikipedia - it gets most information right, and it saves me the time of having to read through a block of text on the internet to get the information that I want. It's like speaking to that smart friend in your social circle that you can seem to the world's information out of. I know that Hercules is supposed to be an AI fitness coach - but you should probably ask him about his father - he'll go down a hole. I love these Easter eggs! Maybe the best experience is putting the phone down, having the screen turn off, and ask the app questions while you're working on a desktop computer. You begin to realize there's more to a computer than a keyboard, and we're missing an interaction surface to get information out of a computer.
Suzy Bureau
@george_c3 Thank you for the call-outs, George! Mr. Wikipedia is one of my favorites, too! It's so nice to get to talk to the AI about the questions vs only being able to read through all the research and text! There's something magical added when it can be a conversation. Love the analogy of it being like speaking to that smart friend in your life! Also - Hercules! I just tried that! Too funny! Also love the callout on being able to truly go hand and screen free by turning screen off and going phone down. There's so much value to resting our thumbs and eyes! I personally feel much more present and mindful.

I want to point out the fun I had making Susie GPT (no, NOT Suzy GPT). It definitely made @suzybureau's blood boil when she heard it the first time. The sarcasm is great, the voice model understands to sound obnoxious, and best of all, it's something to giggle about. I know some folk have had some of these rather-strange experiences with product managers, and it's good to bring out @suzybureau's Jungian shadow-self to realize how good product folk can be when they can be this bad.
Suzy Bureau
@george_c3 hahhahahahaha - thank you, George!

I've recently had the pleasure of exploring the new IYO voice AI mobile app. The ability to interact with a multitude of voice agents and even craft my own personalized agent has introduced a level of customization I never knew I needed. Conversing with these agents feels seamless and surprisingly human-like, making every interaction enjoyable. What stands out to me is how these agents connect to a backend LLM to provide not just accurate, but also contextually rich answers to a wide array of questions. It's fascinating to see such advanced technology being utilized to enhance our daily digital conversations. The user interface is intuitive, making navigation a breeze, which significantly enhances the overall user experience. It's apparent a lot of thought has gone into making this app not just functional but also user-friendly. I'm genuinely impressed with this app and am excited to see how it evolves. It's not often you come across an app that not only meets but exceeds expectations. This pushes the boundaries of what voice AI can achieve. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will continue to transform our digital interactions.
Suzy Bureau
@bin_lee2 Thank you so much for the kind feedback on functionality and design! We're working hard on both fronts and can't wait to reveal more!
sam avery
@bin_lee2 Thanks! That's exactly it - we're hoping to transform the way we all interact digitally

Love the Jen A agent! She’s great at explaining Gen A slang to a millennial. As someone who often finds themselves lost in the sea of new slang and terminology, Jen A has been super helpful. I love the interaction that’s more like a convo.
J. Peterson
I really enjoyed talking with Mr. Wikipedia, and was impressed by the agent's ability to connect my sequence of related questions, which made it easy to carry a conversation. Fun!
Suzy Bureau
@jpeterson Folks love Mr. Wikipedia! I’m glad you’re having a good experience. Let us know if you have any questions or recommendations!

I had the immense pleasure of connecting with IYO's team early on and testing the public iOS app and the developer tools. As a designer and advocate for more natural ways to interact with technology that gets us away from our screen-time, I couldn't be more excited by IYO's mission for an audio driven future interface. As a starting point, IYO's AI app is a library of customized personalities that each suit a specific task whether it's for learning (Mr. Wikipedia/Dr. Debate), personal wellbeing (Say That Nicely), or just for fun (Albert Einstein/Socrates). It's immediately obvious that there is something special about this conversational interface. The ability to interrupt or direct the conversation is incredibly intuitive and easy to get lost in. I look forward to seeing how this system improves as custom hardware or iterations on the interface make it even faster, easier to use. From the developer standpoint, that's where the fun really begins for myself as a designer-engineer. IYO was a perfect testing space for my own ideas, and the opportunities are wide as LLMs further improve on their cognition, speed, and accuracy. I feel that this is just the starting point! Wishing IYO luck on their journey and can't wait to see where it goes.
