Hey PH Family! 👋🏽 My name is Christopher Jones, Founder of InThisOrder (Ito). Today I am excited to launch the first public version of Ito for all parents who are looking to help keep their kids on track. I debated for a long time to publish this because I wanted it to be perfect. I also realized, that finished and launched is better than perfect, so here it is. I am a parent myself of two amazing kids who both function as polar opposites! My son is very good with taking orders and my daughter is more like her dad and thinks linear so I decided to build this app to see if this would help her with completing a chain of tasks given they were provided one at a time, unlike other task lists that provide the entire list, which can be overwhelming. When giving her a list of things to do, she does the first thing and comes back to ask what she is to do next. This is where Ito was birthed. How it works 👇🏽 Step 1: Add A Task ➕ Enter the name of the task that your child can read and understand. Choose your child from the dropdown menu that you created upon account creation and click submit! Add as many as you need! Step 2: Wait For Your Child 👶 The child will see a very simple dashboard with the first task you added to their list. They will not see any other tasks within their list until they are done with the first one. This reassures focus and completion on the task assigned. Step 3: Get Notified 🔔 Within your dashboard you will be notified when any task has been completed by any of your children and it will show what task was completed and when! Step 4: Repeat ♻️ Once a child has completed all of their tasks you assigned to them that could give them the green light to do that thing they have been asking for… That’s until you assign them another task! It has been working flawlessly at home and I make tweaks and improvements as I and other parents (few) who have tested the app for feedback. I look forward to seeing how Ito can help others to organize tasks for their families to be more productive and to get kids excited about doing what is right! Somethings I'm considering in the roadmap: 1. Routines - Recurring tasks that can be bunched together for assigning to your children 2. Priorities - This was a request for things needed to be done in a timely matter. 3. Prize Levels - Introduce prizes that can be determined by the app or the parents. The goal is to continue to incorporate more fun and convenient features for families to enjoy. I appreciate all feedback and am just looking to make it better every chance I get! Great app. Really helps to turn goals into achievable fun goals for kids instead of chores. Helps me stay organized and in control too.
