The best feature of this app is that it is a quick way to adjust brightness and color temp on multiple monitors at once. It gets confusing after that. Some of the settings are kind of helpful working in a corporate office (super bright uv lights)... health, dark, sunglasses. Some are just strange. Why does programming mean that the monitor turns negative? Why not just call it that? The pro ui settings panel is frustrating on MacOS. The scrolling is difficult, I cant see more than a couple options at once and it's not clear why I'm seeing a setting for Moon when that's not an option in the dropdown. I actually prefer the free version at the moment for those reasons. The app has potential. My advice is don't have features for the sake of having features. Do you need 9 different settings? Do four or five add extra value? Can the user do a lot with just 4 settings? For me, the answer is yes.

@deleted-103823 Thanks for the feedback Torin :) In the free version you have different presets. In the Pro version, the values reduce more blue light and brightness. I will do my best to improve the UI and remove not needed features.

Holy bad software. Supper laggy itself, brought the system to a crawl on OSX. 2 monitors made it absolutely unusable. Does not play nice at all if f.lux is already installed. I uninstalled and went straight back to f.lux which does a lot less but better.

Pros:

Feature Full

Cons:

Everything

Hi Boris, what do you mean by this? Do you use the latest version? How much CPU it's using. I also have it on my Macbook and it's not slow. I will remove some features and try to make the product better :)

I made new version with CPU optimizations for OSX today Can you try it and tell me if you still hate the product :) https://iristech.co/iris/ (The UI is not created if you don't click the settings panel, this reduces CPU and RAM a lot)

@daniel_georgiev Just installed the latest version now and it's incredibly laggy and causes my computer to run very slow. Had to delete it.
Daniel Georgiev
@dprevite Does this happen with other versions of Iris?

This looks like a great app. Curious why is this app not allowed in the Apple app store?
