Sitting at 52. Learning that it's probably worth taking the time to offer genuine support to people (specifically on their launches).
I've taken multiple different approaches and the best connection / feedback comes from actually adding value to others within the community. Goes the same for discussions - if you're an active member of the community and take time/effort to help others - hopefully it'll benefit you long term.. From everyone I've spoken to that is the shared sentiment.
On top of just browsing around to see cool things, its interesting to do "research" on the founders/community - consider it competitor research. Being on a forumn / social network of nothing but those in software/tech (across all verticals) allows you to get a great pulse of the industry, identify trends, and uncover opportunities.
@msmello If someone could make a bot filter for PH. that would be awesome. I tried to begin one, but product hunt API is a mess and they are not very helpful on GitHub ðŸ˜
Congrats! We're using PH to build connections, to promote our product, and to look for interesting products on the platform, just like most of people here.
