How do you see this comparing to something like Chartio?
Alex Yaseen
@samhouston Chartio is more of a visualization tool (kind of like Tableau). InSpread focuses more on the creation/manipulation of data (kind of like Excel/Google Sheets). We do offer some visualization capabilities as well, but theoretically you could use the data you create in InSpread to create a visualization in Chartio.

bold statement...i love t!

Hello InSpread ! It's really impressive ! Can we export live data ? With Zapier or API ?
Alex Yaseen
@ben_demontecler Thanks! We're currently working on a widget that allows you to provide your own endpoint to send a POST request, and we're also working on Zapier and IFTTT integrations. In the meantime, the custom widget runs sandboxed javascript, so if you know javascript you can send any AJAX request you want. Let me know if you need help.

@alexyaseen @ben_demontecler Was playing with the app. How do I get the the javascript stuff?

@blainehatab Shoot me an email at support@getinspread.com and I can walk you through it.

We're excited to be publicly unveiling the beta version of InSpread for the first time! Having previously worked conducting data analysis for others, our goal with InSpread is to empower non-technical users to be self-sufficient. Using a modular approach, InSpread enables you to design spreadsheets the way a software developer would. It also has a variety of widgets (with many more coming soon!) that can import data, perform complex data transforms, and communicate with third-party APIs all in a simple, graphical interface. We're continually working on making it more powerful and more user friendly, so we welcome your feedback! If there are any features you'd like to see (particularly new widgets), either leave a comment or send us an email at support@getinspread.com.

I want this to grow to light fires under the asses of other spreadsheet software. I love the concept.

@blainehatab Thanks!
