I've always been a big fan of Infuse, all the way back to v1. Great Trakt.tv integration too!

This has quickly become the most used app in our household! Biggest advantages for us over the native Apple video apps: plays off network connected drives without iTunes running, plays every video format you could want, automatically fetches meta data or you can override with your own, it even detects TV episodes and groups them into seasons. The free version is great, the Pro upgrade is also well worth it.
