Indy gives you productivity tools to manage your independent business from start to finish, education to help you grow as an independent worker, and a network of independent thinkers to collaborate with, all in one place.
@ni_e_sha We’re happy you’re enjoying the experience! You are always welcome to let us know what features you think would be good to add here: https://feedback.weareindy.com/ :)
This is perfect. I love the fact that it doesn't have payment processing fees on top of existing payment integration fees. I first discovered the tool using Google, a couple of days back when I was searching what to send in an email to remind clients about invoice payments without being rude.
@goforbg thank you so much for your kind comment. Glad that you found our University article before the launch, hope you enjoyed it and you'll come back for more. Very soon we will be launching more courses about client relations and more. Check out our youtube channel as well :)
Much needed for freelancers and small businesses. Integrating all the needs and keeping the product simple and easy to use. Congrats to the entire team. Best wishes.
This is sweet – at first glance it seems like Indy and Hectic appear really similar.
When would Indy be the best option for a freelancer and when would Hectic be the best option?
Indy seems like a really helpful tool – at this point the lack of user-specific pre-populated proposals are a downside (e.g. I want to generate a new proposal with pre-populated sections and text that I've used on previous proposals, and then I'd then tweak just a few words here and there), but I saw it's being considered on your roadmap.
The calculators on the footer of your page are helpful not just for utility but also for some SEO love. Congrats on this!
Thank you @quinnballard! On a tool-by-tool basis where our features intersect, Indy is pretty comparable at a more affordable price point. We are building out the Indy Network as a place to connect, hire, and collaborate with other professionals. Definitely check that out as it grows!
The ability to save proposal templates isn't available yet. We're all about finding ways to help our customers save time and clicks, so saving proposal templates is definitely on our radar. In the meantime, you can create a base proposal and duplicate/edit with each new client or project. Feel free to add your vote to our feature request ticket here https://feedback.weareindy.com/f... and we'll keep you posted.
@jonathan_ramos2 Awesome – it's cool that Indy is headed towards being a network to connect w/ and hire others. Thank you for breaking that down! I'll def be exploring the Indy Network stuff. Congrats again, Jonathan!
Hey Product Hunt!
Excited to share with you our goal for Indy and the future of independent work!
Indy was born when we experienced first-hand the need for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and independent workers to have a better way of balancing all the extra responsibilities that come with the territory. You have to be your own project manager, administrative assistant, and legal team. It only complicates the journey when you have to use multiple services to manage everything.
And to add to these challenges, freelancers are hit with more expenses than the traditional employee: Self-employment taxes, zero benefits, and no health insurance. It can feel like all of your hard-earned money is being stripped away at every corner. Freelancers have a lot of costs to deal with, but the tools they use shouldn’t have to be one of them. That’s why we made Indy’s core tools free forever, so that independent workers have access to everything they need to grow their businesses.
✅Forms to generate more leads
✅Proposals to pitch clients
✅Contracts to protect your business
✅Tasks to manage projects with to-do lists and kanban boards
✅Files to store everything in one place
✅Time Tracker to monitor your time
✅Invoices to get paid faster
✅Calendar to keep track of everything that’s in motion
With these tools, independent workers can be empowered to fully manage their businesses and restore order to the chaos that comes with working solo. But equipping independent workers with the right tools is only part of the solution to creating a better future for remote workers everywhere. We created Indy University to provide the education workers need to avoid the common pitfalls that cause 50% of freelancers to fail in their first year. We also have the Indy Community, which fosters a place for creatives to find new collaborators and grow their network.
Indy aims to be a home for independent thinkers who dream of the freedom that comes with an independent way of working, but have only felt exhaustion along the way.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about Indy!
@pablo_ignacio Thank you so much! Indy is a platform for freelancers to manage their independent business in one place — so send contracts, track time and tasks, send invoices, etc. You can learn more about Indy at this link https://weareindy.com/about-us
Indy has considered many issues from the level of freelancers.Provided freelancers a lot of convenience.
If you are a freelancer or want to become a freelancer,Indy is highly recommended。
@iva_cindric I'm looking into your structure. Can my client add any to-do tasks to a project or review the process? Is it just one-way tracking on the system?
@yunuserturk At the moment, a freelancer is the only one who can add tasks but adding a client portal is on our radar. You can leave of vote for the feature and we’ll keep you updated as the team make progress toward a release: https://feedback.weareindy.com/f...
