Hi Product Hunt! 👋 In the 3+ years since Indie Hackers launched as a side project, it's grown from a small collection of interviews with founders to a global community of people working together to make money from their side projects and online businesses. We put together this resource to help brand new first-time indie hackers learn how to get started, and to celebrate how many people are making it through the journey.

@channingallen Recently discovered this community and I'm so glad to be a part of it. The community has that magical element where every member believes in giving forward, without expecting an immediate return. Kudos on building such a well curated platform.

“It’s 2020, and the future is indie.” There’s room for you and your business idea to grow legs and make an impact. This community/resource is going to be there as a guiding light for your journey.

I love Indie Hackers. Channing Allen and his team have done a great job of building a supportive community. Anyone who has a new startup, it's one of the best places I have found to share ideas, learn and network.

Indie Hackers is a place where you're encouraged to make mistakes and learn from them. That can't really be said about other communities. If you have a side project or if you have an interest in entrepreneurship, this is the place to be. Glad to be a part of it!

Indiehackers is helpful, constructive and collaborative. I love using IH daily as a go-to place to ask questions, provide feedback and ask for my own. Thank you so much guys!

Indie Hackers is the best place for people want to start there business and be their own boss. In IH, you can learn from other founders mistakes, get inspired by many successful and profitable founders, get support from other indie makers, get early adopters fro your products and many more

I love IH as much as the next nerd but it’s a bit cheeky to be posting it as a new launch..
Channing Allen
@cohan Sorry for the confusion! We're not launching indiehackers.com. We're launching indiehackers.com/start, which is an interactive and guided process for new indie hackers to start projects and network with other entrepreneurs. It might help to think of Indie Hackers as a business with several products, of which this new resource is one.

@channingallen Huh.. I must have tapped the logo or something when the page loaded because I ended up on the homepage. Sorry Channing! I should have double checked before hitting reply

I listen to the Indie Hackers Podcast on my commute to work regularly. It is such a source of inspiration to listen to the stories of the founders. Allen has made an awesome platform to transform, inspire and help wannabes (future makers) to an actual hacker/maker. Thank you.

Indie Hacker has inspired me to create my own software product; it doesn't matter where you're from or how you look like, it helps you see the indie hackers are super diverse and that encourages you to keep going specially when you know you don't necessarily relate to the typical tech executive.

This is an amazing community of inspired interesting people. Daily inspiration in my projects.

IH is a great place for specific, high quality, actionable feedback given by other founders and hackers. Contrast that with reddit's startup communities, which I've found are mostly met with resistance and suspicion. IH is a supportive, intelligent, smaller awesome community.

so happy to see it here again, honestly, I feel as Indie hackers is my own startup, once I saw it here I felt very happy as if It was me launching, no idea why, but for some reason I love the community and how beneficial it is to me that I really feel that I am part of it. All the best to you Allen. for anyone who don't know about the community, I would say join it and you will never regret that
