Seems like a great product and congrats on this build but why can't i see the pricing model before i sign up? I want to check it out, and review it and then get to use my 14 day free trial (when i choose) with intention of continuing but this way, i'm almost immediately turned off.
@themelamini yes and also, can i hold off on the 14 day free trial until i actually start (for me its next week) as i have some planning to do for outbound/inbound marketing efforts.
@themelamini@stefamini thanks for the feedback! The reason we've done it this way is because you get a discount if you subscribe during your free trial (so to see the pricing you have to sign up first). This is the sort of thing we can change pretty easily though - so please do send any extra feedback to ed@ifnoreply.com
@stefamini@themelamini as for the free trial, I think most of our users would want the free trial immediately... but what we could do is postpone your free trial if you like? Just send a message to ed@ifnoreply.com :)
What is the maximum number of emails that can be sent? I believe Gmail has limitations here (which are higher for google apps users but still limited).
The main reason I wouldn't use this personally is the mail merge relies on keeping tons of CVS files lying around, which is now very scalable, are there any thoughts on being able to store contacts with If No Reply (in the cloud) as that would be killer in my view.
@jasondainter hi Jason, you're right - it's a Gmail limitation (500 per day if on a regular Gmail account, 2000 per day if on Google Apps for Business).
As for the csvs, you can also add contacts to If No Reply via our API, and we'll be adding more functionality to the contacts dashboard at ifnoreply.com too - so stay tuned!
Hi Hunters! 😻
I'm one of the makers of If No Reply - firstly, thanks for the hunt Eric!
The reason we created If No Reply was to help grow our own business. It allows you to schedule follow-up emails that are only sent if you don't get a reply from somebody (and it's designed for Gmail).
The idea is to save time following up with prospects, and make more conversions too.
Anybody who spends a lot of time following up by email would probably find INR useful - but here are the 3 main ways we use it in our own business:
1. Sales outreach
2. Inbound sales to existing customers
3. Sending welcome emails to new customers via our API
I know there are a lot of sales automation tools (e.g. Outreach, Reply, PersistIQ) and a lot of Gmail extensions too (e.g. Boomerang, ReBump). We've tried more than I can recall, and we've been paying customers for some too... and in spite of this, we didn't find any of them met our need (simplicity and personalisation).
We set out to create a simple sales automation tool that works perfectly with Gmail. Check it out at https://www.ifnoreply.com - we'd love to hear your thoughts!
If you have any questions I'll be on here all day with my cofounder Harry, so please do ask 🤓
Ed
@pauliebeck@levibostian Hi Paulie and Levi - thanks for the feedback! The reason we originally hid the pricing page was because we applied an earlybird discount for Product Hunt users (that they'd get when they signed up). We had no idea it'd be this unpopular though 😬 - so we've updated it already. You can now see pricing without signing up :)
@preben_frenning@adriangrant it'll be sent from your Gmail just like normal (so will appear in your outbox). Otherwise you can bcc another email address of yours (one way of getting notified). Still, open to suggestions - did you have something else in mind? What would be ideal?
@edmoyse@adriangrant Well the bcc seems like a VERY simple and effective solution, so I like that. I have activated push notifications for my Gmail, so having your own push notification solution wouldn't really help. You could just tell people about the bcc "trick" as a help text or something =)
It seems like this is just one small part of what's offered as part of Mixmax, which is, depending on how you look at it, not more expensive and does *much* more. Truth?
https://mixmax.com/sequences
@cozysd you're right in some ways - although we don't offer as many feature as mixmax, we do focus purely on sequencing. this means we provide a tool that requires minimum effort to get started whilst still being extremely effective.
as an example, mixmax's sequences mean you have to go to their site, add a new sequence, add new contacts and then work out how to send this (along with adding tags). with us, everything is in one window in front of you and displayed how a recipient would see it if they were sent that email (including tags being populated). we think this makes us a lot more attractive to startups and small-medium sized businesses.
Not sure of thesd questions have been asked, but do you have mail merge capabilities?
Also, can you delete a step in a sequence that's already been saved. I use @mixmax right now and because I couldn't delete a step in my sequence I ended up sending an email or two I didn't want to. Luckily it was a small sample, but it was not a good experience.
Lastly, what is your customer service like? @Mixmax wasn't great and though it was ultimately resolved, I don't like the sequencing user experience.
I currently use MixMax for email tracking, mail merge, sequencing, and even meeting scheduling. Do you have any recommendations for meeting scheduling?
Essentially, I like @mixmax because they are one stop shopping for a few things. But, I think I'm gonna drop them.
Oh, I almost forgot. Are you compatible with either Cloze.com @cloze or Prosperworks @prosperworks CRM? They are both gmail based CRMs that I just finished trialing and I need to choose between the two this week.
Been using IfNoReply in beta. I used to spend hours trying to manually track and follow up on my emails. Now IfNoReply does everything automatically. I just import my csv contacts list, customize and schedule my follow up emails. It's saving me time following up with journalists. I'm getting a lot more replies! I absolutely love it!
This is some wizard stuff right here. Was just talking with some saleswoman that does a lot of cold emailing in my industry. She was mentioning she wished there was something like this! Can't wait to link her! Just wanted to be sure is the Free plan going to be around forever? 20 contacts wouldn't suite her as she would need the Pro but for me Free would suite me for now.
This is awesome. An interesting challenge I find about Gmail extensions is that they often conflict with one another. For instance, using Streak and Mixmax together is not possible. There are some features in Mixmax I'd love to keep using while using Streak (like scheduling and more), but I need the functionality of Streak for mailmerges.
In this case, I'd love to use If No Reply, but after doing a mailmerge with If No Reply, I'll need to go add these emails to individual boxes in Streak manually. That's not a big deal really. What I've resorted to doing is having different Google Chrome profiles with different sets of extensions so that I can accomplish all of these tasks separately and the extensions won't conflict.
Really excited to use this extension!
@izzydoesizzy thanks! We're actually thinking about how best to integrate with Streak, so please send me an email if you have any more thoughts: ed@ifnoreply.com
I've been using this myself - awesome product, so happy to see it on Product Hunt. I've tried out a lot of competitors too - from Outreach to PersistIQ to ReBump. All I can say is I'm really glad 🙌🏼to have found If No Reply!
Harry and Ed have really hit the nail on the head for a simple, accessible sales automation tool. It's a great, wholly useful, and excellently executed product. 10/10, would upvote again.
Here are a list of products that have similar functionality that have not been mentioned yet (the first one is mine, the rest are competitors): GMass, ReplyUp, FollowUp.cc, Gmelius. I've been in this game for a while, so as I think of more, I'll update this comment.
@timshnaider hi Tim, we're extremely competitively priced compared to other solutions such as reply.io, persistiq.com, quickmail). we believe that with any of our paid plans, we're providing a lot more value than the pricing in terms of how much time we save.
that being said, we do offer a free tier (free forever) for casual users and a 14 day free trial. would love to hear what you think!
@timshnaider@hyharryhuang I just thought I'd add that we're not a CRM, so if you're looking for a Gmail CRM I'd recommend checking out Streak.com (and as for being more expensive, we're a similar price to a lot of Gmail extensions such as Streak, and much more affordable than a lot of our non-Gmail competitors such as Outreach.io).
Great tool for email marketing and keep the workflow smooth.
Can it work on Inbox by Google? I am used to Inbox and find it harder to switch back the traditional Gmail interface.
@andreasduess thanks Andrus - for anyone else reading this, the reason for the "sign up to see pricing" is because we apply an earlybird discount. We'll update this now so you can see the pricing!
appreciate your feedback @noxowe, the reason why we've done this is because we apply early bird discounts on users who've signed up, given we've just launched.
@edmoyse@hyharryhuang Cool! I think it will get you more signups, at least from people like me :) I don't sign up to things before I know how much I need to pay cause if I signed up and it's too much you have my contact info but I don't profit anything. That's the kind of sub-conscious thinking that goes through my mind when I see 'Contact sales' or 'sign up to see prices'
