Vector illustrations have exploded in popularity recently and are becoming much more niche focused. After the great reception for our illustration project Ouch! last year we needed a way to scale the creation process to cover any use case. So that is exactly what we built! Meet Vector Creator: an in-browser tool enabling anyone to create professional illustrations. Choose from categorized and searchable styles, then drag components to the canvas, arranging them however you wish. When you are done, simply export the results in PNG or SVG (premium). We kept the experience approachable to ensure everyone could make custom vectors quickly, even without design experience. Vector Creator is free to use, just remember to link back to Icons8 when using your creation. To satisfy the common request of ‘more please’ we worked with artists to create a massive illustration library. Containing over 3000 elements in 12 distinct styles (& still expanding!) there should be more than enough variety to keep you busy. But if not, you will soon be able to upload your own media as well. Our hope is that you use Vector Creator to liven-up your next landing page, on-boarding flow, presentation, or social media post. Have fun with it! TL;DR feature list: - Compose illustrations without needing to learn or download tools - 12 striking styles to fit any theme - Build unique vectors, not overused illustrations from templates. - People, animals, objects, shapes, and backgrounds, +++ - Upload your own vectors and images (soon) - Free to use! - Export to transparent PNG or editable SVG

I'm an illustrator now )) Wow! Thanks!
Mikkel Blondin
@alexander_khristoforov Picture's not loading for me. Did you host it somewhere where they take it down after a while?
Paul Malaj
Wow! Now I can create illustrations that look professional in minutes.

Yet another outstanding project from Icons8 team! I love how you develop and boost the industry of visual graphic market. As for Illustration creator — like for pics style, number of objects and simplicity. Literally can make an illustration in 5 minutes. Miss layers system a bit(now it seems the last added object is on the top), but it's a minor thing. Congrats on your launch and keep going!
Paul Malaj
@norwen I think it has layers system, you can click up/down arrow icon near the object to change its layer order.

I like the business philosophy of Icons8, you guys are building a strong ecosystem for designers under one roof :)
Ivan Braun
@musharofchy right, we see what resources we have and see how we can recycle them. We had https://photos.icons8.com/creator and we had https://icons8.com/ouch. Voila.
Musharof Chowdhury
@visualpharm Yeah, big fan of your work. I am aware of all Icons8 products, great job guys

This project was really fun to work on. I have long admired the Icons8 team for consistently shipping so many projects. Getting a chance to help behind the scenes has been a great insight into how design tools are made and just how many moving pieces are involved! This creator is quite fun to use, especially when exported to SVG and used in Figma. If I (an artistically challenged person) can make an illustration, then anyone can. 😅

Love the product, great job mind giving early adopters a fixed price instead of a subscription though? Because it just seems that I will have to worry on and off to pay and unsubscribe every time i need it and then when i don't. I won't need illustrations on a recurring basis
Ivan Braun
@danirogerc probably a checkbox "don't renew my subscription" would be a revolution in SaaS. Meantime, if you ever forget to cancel it, we'll refund. Word of honor.
Marwann
Great product, except for the fact that you cannot rotate text and choose your own colors (or did I miss something?)
Ivan Braun
@marwannas you cannot! These are the great features. Will do.
Utkarsh Talwar
I am so excited to find this! Having used illustrations from Ouch! before in one of our products Brogrammer (which you can find on PH btw), I can confidently say a lot of people are going to love this! Sharing it with our design team right away.
Ivan Braun
@talwarutkarsh hahaha, the name is badass and the illustration you've chosen is strategic. Upvoted, checked and noted! Thanks!
Utkarsh Talwar
@visualpharm Thank you for the kind words, Ivan! And congrats on getting Product of the Day. Well deserved!
Marina Yalanska
No such thing as too many illustrations! When I seemed to use almost all ready-made vectors from the Ouch library (https://icons8.com/ouch/) for blog articles and social media, the Vector Creator now lets me make endless combinations for more. That's a real saver of time and effort. Also, love the variety of styles.

Wow, thanks for making this!
Maciek Urbanek
cool. Add a duplicate button for symbols please!

@maciekurbanek *yet. It's a new product. Give it time.

Very good product, kudos for shipping this. What might be useful is to be able to get an SVG export of the result with a one-off payment, possibly something like a couple of dollars for one export For people like me, it wouldn't make sense to have a membership since I rarely design by myself, but I would be willing to pay for the SVG outputs of my own designs when I need it. Again, beautiful product, congrats!
Ivan Braun
@sifonvebok right, this is a common use case. For what you propose, we have a powerful lobby even inside our marketing team :) * Our story with one-off payments * We had $5 icons back in 2016. Our problem is we can't commercialize anything too cheap. Complex billing puts a massive load on developers, support, and via support, again on developers. The moment you release it, people want to redownload what they have paid for. After trying it manually, you release the purchase history. Then, something goes wrong and people paid, but didn't get the image. Support must handle it, and since they can't connect to our database, developers should help with each case. Then, people add a minor edit and don't want to pay again. So you measure the amount of change they've made. Then, we created the discounted packs. So we had to measure the number of credits each person has, and confirm spending a credit. Then, this complicated backend slows done the website. Each time a customer accesses an item, you have to check if she paid for it. I know some services that are slow just because of that. * Consequence * At the end of the day, you don't develop the new products and features but service your complicated monetization. After we dropped all the complicated plans, we started delivering like crazy. * Solution * Simplify the billing. Either one pricing model or another, but not both mixed. In particular, I like SaaS: it's a godsend for the simplicity of the billing. We appreciate you as a customer, but we better serve you for free. That's why I keep insisting we have a generous free part.

@visualpharm Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation, I really appreciate the effort and understand the struggle. I wish you guys the best, keep rocking it!

Прикольная штука 🤔
Dmitry Kotlyarenko
That's what I need! I'm in process create my fist perfect illustration. Great tool, guys! Thank you!
Margarita
I really like how versatile the illustrations are. And there are truly different styles of them, not just recolored, but totally different look: funny, elegant, or geometric. This is like a cheat code for design.
King Bee
This is quite possibly the most amazing design product I've seen. You guys seriously never stop amazing me...
