Thanks for hunting us @chrismessina. It’s great to be back with the latest from Hugo 🙌 ! We’ve also had some great coverage and support over the past year: “Hugo’s innovation is a platform that integrates more deeply within a user’s calendar, recognizing things like past notes from a meeting with a specific person…” TechCrunch “Hugo is much simpler [than Evernote] because the calendar connection organizes everything... Hugo provides one place to collaboratively prepare, take notes, assign tasks and share, and integrates with more than 20+ work apps.” Entrepreneur

@nataly_tykhonova1 Thanks! Let us know how you go.

Kudos to the Hugo team for iterating like mad into building a product that is truly helping reduce the time and brain power it takes to get day-to-day tasks done. I'm a fan and can't wait to see Huge 3.0!
Darren Chait
@hnshah Thanks Hiten! And for being there for us at Day 1.

Hey ProductHunters 👋, We know that meetings really sucked in 2020. Our research shows an average of 33% more meetings, each with more attendees being squeezed into them, and getting longer too 🤯. Worse, the value created in each meeting along with the action items, are typically lost as soon as the meeting ends. And, we now know that this new way of working isn’t going to change any time soon 😫. Hugo was already helping thousands of teams with meeting docs that link to your calendar. But, throughout the pandemic, Hugo users (small startups of 5 to large companies like Netflix and Spotify) beat these horrible trends. On average, Hugo customers attend 40% less meetings, complete >50% more action items and improve meeting culture by more than 70%. Now we have rebuilt Hugo to make meetings even better for remote teams. You can get set up in <2 minutes, prepare for meetings asynchronously, take meeting notes together, leverage custom templates and manage action items through Hugo tasks and app integrations ⚡️. Finally, a huge thanks to the PH community! When @hnshah first hunted us in 2019, we connected with some of our most loyal customers. Since then, we’ve iterated on their early feedback and subsequently closed funding from Google's Gradient Ventures, Slack Fund, Founder Collective and Entrée Capital. Hugo remains free for teams of 10. Connect your work calendar to get started. Now go and have fewer, shorter, better meetings 🚀🚀🚀. - Josh, Darren and the Hugo team

Love the product. Would love to see Otter.ai integrations + Airtable.
Darren Chait
@rosihaft I hear you! Got it captured on our roadmap. Will keep you updated 👌
Mike
@rosihaft Transcribe and arrange project? All in one place? That's would be amazing.

Hugo was massive over the past year. The ability to connect notes with the calendar (dates & attendees) is a life saver. Congrats (and THANK YOU!) @joshlowy @darren_chait + Team on building such a great product! I love the different widgets that allow you to create follow-up tasks. You can jointly craft an agenda with your stakeholders to maximize everyone's times. The Hugo team continues to hustle and innovate on the product; the new templates help ensure that whatever type of meeting you are running, your meeting is well structured and you are set-up for success.
Darren Chait
@joshlowy @billy_robins1 Thanks Billy! What a review. We're so glad we could help make such a tough year that little bit easier. 🥰

We embedded Hugo in our org and within a couple meetings it was clear that meetings were going to be 100x more effective. Meetings are not simply about the time spent, but rather about the preparation and outcomes, and Hugo makes the whole process feel fun and efficient. Hugo is like having a full-time professional personal assistant dedicated to supporting my ability to have meetings worth having.

@ldouglas11 Love this! Couldn't have said it better myself 😊

I’ve had the good fortune of working with the Hugo team and can say this about them... They are OBSESSED with getting to know their customers in order to serve them better. Always adding new capabilities and integrations. Always improving the UX. Always listening. When doing customer interviews, different people liked different features but the team emerged as the thing everyone loved. Definitely recommend giving it a try (heck it’s free for up to 10 users).
Conor Dewey
@swaycopy Thanks Josh! Loved working with you and tracking all of those interviews.
Jason Levin
Hugo has been key for capturing value from what can feel like endless meetings — especially in the era of “that meeting could have been a Slack message.” Its robust tools help keep remote teams accountable and meeting templates are great for adding structure to collaborative time.
Conor Dewey
@jason_levin Thanks Jason! Love the tie in to our previous chat for Behind the Team 🙌

Have been using Hugo from past few weeks! Great product! @darren_chait
Darren Chait
@jay_0687 Thanks for the support Jay! Hope you're enjoying the latest updates.
Jay Singh
@darren_chait Have you thought to bring this within the Gsuite for visibility. As it might make it easier for users! An icon on your taskbar showing up how much time left to attend next meeting! Just my 2 cents! :)
Darren Chait
@jay_0687 Totally agree! We actually have a Chrome extension so you can use Hugo wherever you're browsing too, but I'd love to keep iterating with more G Suite integration.

This has changed my day to day so much, I can spend entire days in meetings and have little time to get anything done. Hugo lets everyone be responsible for the meeting notes and actions. Walking away from a meeting, everyone knows who has to do what and when. No single person is responsible for going away and typing up the notes and circulating. The templates are also ready great, a huge variety to get you started!
Darren Chait
@scott_robbie Thanks for the support! We love hearing stories like these from teams who meet better with Hugo 🙏
Liz Love
We use Hugo a lot, mainly as a way to keep on track with our meeting time. We all add agenda items ahead of any standing meetings so that the time is used effectively (or we know whether to cancel). We write up meeting notes and integrate with Slack to ensure they're shared among the rest of the team. Recommend.
Darren Chait
@liz_love2 Thanks Liz! That means a lot from someone like you 🤩

This, freaking this 💕 Had a short chat with Josh awhile back (though I can't remember for the life of me, what it was about) and I gotta say, the team's a pretty cool bunch. Hugo was already a fantastic app in it's last version. Now that I'm looking at the screenshots of the latest release, I might just have to pick it up again cos there's no other platform that made me as gleefully giddy as Hugo. Got your own process? Make it a template. Not sure where to start? Try out one of their many - many other templates designed by other culturally famous startup & SaaS teams. Just wanna jot down your next blog post as you sit through another Grant Cardone rant? Yes, it even supports Markdown.
Conor Dewey
@lionelbenjiho Wow what a great review! Well said all around 🙏
Daryll Wong
What I like here best (that I think other note taking apps may be lacking) is the ability to integrate your calendar in. Working with my team on projects, I find that organising and syncing timings is one of our largest painpoints.
Conor Dewey
@daryllman Definitely! Our goal is that you can find any meeting note or task in seconds.
Arthur Levy
Love this. Been a user from early days! Keep killing it @joshlowy
Darren Chait
@joshlowy @arthur_levy 🙌 🙌 🙌
Raul Popa
Some members of my team use Hugo and they were praising the solution for months. This may probably be the time I'll start using it too. Good luck with the launch!
Conor Dewey
@raulpopa Thanks Raul! Just shoot me a message if you want a hand getting set up 👍
Chris Moore
Haven't invited my team and clients yet, but I'm LOVING Hugo so far. Really solves a pain point. Looking forward to a direct ClickUp.com integration and improved iOS app (especially on larger screens). Keep rocking!
Josh Lowy
@crsmoore I heard a rumor that the more teammates you invite, the faster our dev team becomes at rolling out integrations 😉. Thanks for your support, I've captured your feedback re ClickUp and iOS 👍.
Chris Moore
@joshlowy - Nice! ;) And I heard a humor that if you integrate with big apps like ClickUp – engage with their team and get cross-listed with them – you automagically get more customers. ;) Sincerely wishing you all well! Great app (Hugo).
Josh Lowy
@crsmoore I thought I had it the wrong way around 🤔
Florent Crivello
Been using Hugo with our Team and am a huge fan — hard to imagine meetings without them now!
Josh Lowy
@altimor Flo! Between Hugo and Teamflow, you'd have to try REALLY hard to mess up remote meetings 🙌 🙌 🙌
Bogdan Ionita
Sweet ux for a nice idea, congrats!
SEBASTIANO CRISTOFORETTI
Guys, Hugo is great! I have loads of stuff there now, greatly linked to other several productivity apps, and will definitely use it with other teams!
Conor Dewey
@sebastiano_cristoforetti That's awesome to hear! 🎉
