Holoholo combines your photos, journal, places, and footpaths into daily memories. Set it up once and it runs quietly in the background. Your data stays on-device. Time travel and share memories.
Aloha friends, we're Chris, Robbie, and Eric – a three-person team based in Hawaii. This is our first ever product hunt launch!
We made this app because we wanted something super simple and automatic that can help us remember our days without sacrificing privacy.
We recommend using this app to document daily life - whether saving special moments with loved ones, tracking your travels, or just wandering around your city.
A few things to know:
1. First use may take a moment to show places/paths.
2. Places are added automatically - easy to edit if needed.
3. Best to keep it running in background to avoid data loss.
4. Your data are saved on device - we can't access your location, photos, and journal.
5. Deleting the app deletes your data.
We hope you enjoy using the app. We’d love to hear your questions, feedback, or recommendations to make it better. Simply email us: aloha@holoholoapp.com.
Huge mahalo for your support!
I usually don't like these type of apps because as we often see data is harvested, shared and then made inaccessible (because pivot, because google buys it, because whatever). So it is nice to see a privacy focused activity tracking app with data on device.
Congrats on the launch Chris, Robbie & Eric! You can be proud 💕 Love the concept and how polished the design is. Excited to see this grow—amazing work! 🚀✨
Beautifully crafted app. Simple, elegant and stays in the background so I can focus on the present. It's especially great when traveling to new and exciting places and you go on an unplanned, serendipitous wander.
I use this app almost daily! When I check in on it, I can see my day populated with photos and locations I visited. Half-journaling and half-motivation to go out and explore, Holoholo makes it hassle-free to look back on my memories and document my life :)
I recently downloaded Holoholo and love how it seamlessly works in the background while respecting my privacy by not selling my data. As someone who is constantly on the move, I often struggle to remember everything I do each day. This app helps me capture all the little in-between moments. It's such a great way to reflect and look back on my days!
I think this is a wonderful idea. Especially nowadays when we are travelling a lot and need some organization but also have this paranoia about privacy. However, it's not, sadly, available for Android. :(
This is an awesome idea that addresses a very real pain point for me. I travel often, usually with aggressive itineraries with lots of driving and hiking. While I create relatively detailed itineraries, I always deviate from them but never go back and document what I actually did.
