@neilcocker it's a cloud based platform so there's no installation needed on your website. We crawl the website, and along with the strategy you create using Hike, we give you a list of actions to make that will implement that strategy and improve your SEO

@kieranheadley Great! I'd honestly get that in the first 5 seconds of your pitch! For those with small access to dev, or who are bootstrapping, this will be a really attractive feature. I know how easy it is for all those "single line of code" installations to slip down the priority list.

Had a great time working with @kieranheadley and @andy_allen on the Ignite accelerator as they built Hike on the programme. Two domain specialists solving a real-world problem! What's been the hardest part of building Hike for you both so far? What's the big vision?

@andy_allen @fatkidonfire so the hardest part was probably getting the keyword suggestion tool right. There are so many levels of knowledge when it comes to SEO (some know a little, some a lot, some none at all), that we had to create a tool that helped founders of all those expertise levels found useful. That's why beta testing was so ace. It uncovered a lot of improvements we could make. The big vision is to help startups outside of the tech sphere, and help all small businesses. We want to develop our task engine even further too, and implement machine learning into the recommendation process. Our task engine can be combined with some form of automated implementation, eg we apply the suggestions directly from our tool into the website.

Building our landing page and app atm and SEO is core to our launch strategy, having watched demos for Hike and as a member of their SEO page I have already placed Hike into our launch plan, excited to use it and report back...

Pros:

Marketing for a health startup, Hike is the tool I need to introduce SEO, as the sole marketing voice, Hike provides the team behind me...

Cons:

Hey @aazar_ali_shad, it's not a project management tool no. Hike allows you to build an SEO strategy, it will then audit your website and give you a list of actions to complete to improve your SEO performance.

Pretty interesting, and especially for targeting start-ups (my team). Do you all do onboarding/consulting calls? Also...how do this compare to Moz?

Hey @jd_yaguara, thanks for the comment. The on-boarding is handled by the platform which takes you through the whole strategy building process. There is an option to pay an additional fee to have this checked manually by one of the founders however this isn't mandatory. With regards to a comparison to moz, both tools will audit a website and report on keyword tracking etc... Hike will help you to build out a strategy and will talk you through the whole process step by step on what needs to be changed on the website. Moz is great for people who know how to do SEO, Hike is there to empower people who don't know SEO, allowing them to do it themselves. I hope that helps, let me know if I can help any more.

Found it really simple to set up and got some great insights immediately.

Love the to-do list style of the app, all presented in priority order. Makes it easy to improving on our SEO without needing to overcommit resources to it. Perfect for startups.
